One of the shittiest things with heists is finding people who A. Can get the job done and B. Don't rage quit after one or two tries.

They need to add some sort of penalty for frequent quitting in a heist. Far too easy for everyone to just rage quit and rejoin another heist and rinse and repeat.
No reason for anyone to join a heist if they're in a hurry.

Don't forget about the online contact missions in the game. To me they are very similar to heists, but you can continue to play even after people rage quit. In fact I get a certain satisfaction seeing all the people rage quit or die when i'm playing a job because I know I have the skills that all those others don't.
 
Hats off to Rockstar for all the robust support on this.

I still wish we could get more single player based content, too, though. I still can envision some kind of a "make your own heists" type situation and so forth.

VEHICLES
– Brand new handling for EVERY SINGLE VEHICLE IN THE GAME! (Including heli’s, planes, boats, etc)

– Corrected suspension and weight of vehicles.

– Adjusted top speed, gear ratio’s, and drive inertia.

– Modified all damage and deformation limits to provide amazing crashes.

– New brake force and drift capabilities.

– New tire friction and traction when on different surfaces. (pavement, dirt, grass, wet/dry, etc.)

– Increased headlight distances, for both low beam and high beam.

RAGDOLL. EUPHORIA. PHYSICS
– Brand new ragdoll and euphoria effects similar to Gta 4 with a custom twist.

– Bullet victims now react with realistic movement and reactions, reaching for injured area’s and stumbling and falling naturally.

– Majority of bullet force removed to allow natural looking ragdoll collapse.

– Falling peds now gravitate towards any and all objects to help them stay up.

– Flag and cloth physics have been slightly altered to provide smoother movement.

– Vehicle crashes now react as they should, vehicles move and collide with natural laws of gravity and reactions.

– Wind physic reactions of all plants has been drastically altered to provide realistic motion.

OTHER/MISCELLANEOUS
– Removed flashing from all “pick-up” objects (cash, wallets, all weapons, armour etc), and replaced cash with leather wallets!

– Player can fall from a higher distance before going ragdoll and taking damage on impact.

– Player motion capabilities have been slightly improved to allow more automatic traversal of small objects and ledges.

– Plant density dramatically increased. (plants are spaced differently and color toned differently as well)

Well I forgot to mention that I'm playing at 4K so even a single 1080 may not be enough to achieve really smooth frame rates with the new textures and effects at that resolution. We'll see. It makes a lot more sense for me to pick up a second Ti from someone who is upgrading and get a lot more gain than what a 1080 would offer me. This thing looks like it could be a card killer. :)
 
A single 1080 will play the game at 60fps in 4K, but you'll definitely need to tinker with the detail settings. You'll probably also see some weird performance dips in certain parts of the desert.
I still get a few odd dips even at 1080p, so I'd assume that's just the price you pay for certain eye candy - mainly MSAA.

with that CPU you will be pegged most of the time in GTA V, you will be able to max everything in the standard graphic settings, (watch out with the MSAA levels don't go nut there) you may want to check population density/variety sliders are those affects also a lot but in my opinion the extended shadows and extended distance scaling from the advanced graphical settings are the ones that are gona hurt more your CPU, on the GPU side just take care with the Frame Scaling mode from the Advanced Settings if you want to take benefit from your 120hz panel don't use it as it will allow more horsepower to spend on something else.. the main limiting factor are going to your CPU as In the times I had with my 3770K at 4.5ghz in some areas I was bottlenecking my 980TI..

But the rest you should have a great experience in GTA V with the GTX 1070..
 
I have everything pretty much maxed out and average 75/80 fps most of the time. Sometimes it goes as high as 120 fps...

This card and game rocks!

I'll need to try this out. Still images don't mean a whole lot if you have to turn the details way down to keep a solid framerate.
I never could get the old GTA4 mods to work worth a damn.
 
I'm amazed at how high the price has been for this game given the time frame of release. The most I've ever seen it drop is to like $30 or so.

I still haven't picked up the PC version because I played through it on PS3 and got bored. Would buy it on a steeper discount just to try out these mods, but so far it hasn't been there yet.

It's GTA5. It doesn't need to devalue itself with bargain bin and firesale bullshit.

I never beat the game, I got bored too - but man that gfx mod makes me want to reinstall. Didn't have a big SSD at the time of my first playthrough either so I didn't keep it on the hard drive long.

Yeah...except it's also 3 years old, almost to the day. I wonder how many $60 sales they are still making at this point is all.
 
I'm still waiting to play it, at all. Cant afford 60 dollars yet. Got 4 about a year or two after release for 5 dollars. Was willing to pay 20 to 30 but it just worked out that way.

If this gets down to 20 to 30 when I have the spare cash I'll pick it up. Wont play it till I get a new video card though.
That mod looks great, hope it is not too hard to install and not too buggy.
 
Jeepers, it needs another 60GB to install!
Most of the GTA V folder has to be copied into the mods directory.
Of all the games that will benefit from an SSD but I not got the room for this.
The mod itself is 3.3GB zipped. Not sure what size it unwraps to.

I'll probably move the files into the mods folder (not copy), so they remain on the SSD.
Then create a link to where they came from on a hard drive and copy the files into there.
This way I still get the SSDs speed benefits for the mod and GTA V wont barf when trying to open because it still sees the files in the right place, even though they are really on a hard drive.

atm the fastest download server is 445KB/s, the slowest is 45KB/s, it could take some time to grab until torrents appear.

it does barf if you move the .rpf files in the root and create links to them.
I've seen tools that can deal with this, not investigated yet.

That redux mod looks awesome. Is it possible to play online with the mod? I know physics change in single player, but in multiplayer does it only affect the visual presentation?
 
Looks like a lot of people's rigs are going to be set on fire or close to it. ;)
 
He is the same guy who made Pinnacle of V, which was shutdown/taken down over a year ago because he took snippets of work from other modders without acknowledging and crediting those original mod authors.
 
Yeah, watching that video I was wondering how it was "built from the ground up by josh whatever".
