So this image just popped up on Imgur. It wouldn't be so funny but, just in the past week, Pokemon GO has led people to robberies, dead bodies, cemeteries, churches and trespassing in general and it looks like they will drive over anything in their way just to catch em' all.

Not that surprising. Though I have to say it would be pretty hard to catch a Pokémon while driving since you would be in and out of the Pokémon's range so fast.

I still can't believe anyone is still talking about Pokemon in 2016....

...let alone adults!

People need to start acting their age.. If you are old enough to drive a car, you should have no interest what so ever in Pokemon :p (and that's if this were the 90's, which it isn't)

You would think so, but I play on the train a lot and as long as you get it into the capture mode fast enough you're fine. And incense also makes it so that as long as you can see the Pokemon you can try to capture it.

It's actually a fun way to bond with your kids. I do a lot of things I have no other interest in besides spending time with my kids. Last weekend I sat in a kiddie pool while water was being dumped on my head.

Wait, you're supposed to play this with your kids?

I think he is referring to people that don't have a good reason to play it

merica.

Judging people who play Pokemon on a forum dedicated to computer hardware mostly used to play video games.

If you're old enough to buy alcohol, you should have no interest what so ever in video games
;)

What's a good reason? Life's short. Stuff like this is fun.

There is no good reason to be driving while playing Pokemon Go, however.

From my understanding, the game encourages people to walk so if it feels that you are going too fast, the game won't work. Driving would probably get you flagged within the game.

Why? It is a video game. It seems like a lot of people around here like to play video games, and as a bonus, it is really fun. Plus Pokémon is now 20, so those of us in our 20's to 30's grew up with Pokémon, and it is fun to play with stuff from our childhood. Not to mention share it with our kids.

Huh. I guess that much time has passed...

I was in highschool when Pokemon first came out.

It was based on some childrens cartoon, and I was to busy with other things to bother with it. Doesn't seem so long ago.

In my mind, Pokemon is still a "little kids thing" I guess.

Then again, it still astonishes me that people born after 1985 can actually be older than 12, let alone be old enough to drive or have kids :p

Or just don't play with your ffucking phone while driving. I almost get hit like twice a day in my 20 minute commute because people have to look at their phone every 2 effing seconds... If only I had the ability to smite people....

I didn't start playing Pokémon until I was in my 40's  (and yes, I was an adult. married and own my own car)

My kid was into it, so I also bought a DS so we could battle.

how dare you spend time with your children you horrible bastard.

gonna practice defensive driving these few months. Motherfuckers and their stupid eyes glued to their phones

Here, here... I'm guilty of playing Pokemon Go while driving. But then again I only take backroads, and it's usually late at night. I just treat it as having a GPS open and then try to tap any Pokemon that pops up. Then I wait till a stop light or something to catch it. Rinse and repeat. I'd say the most dangerous moments are when you first start out. I had a habit of devoting too much attention to it before realizing that everything on it could essentially be put on the backburner. It's extremely easy to not really pay much attention to it while still accomplishing stuff.

The worst I've done is almost running a red light when I started... at an intersection that no one really uses, at like 10 PM. Afterwards, I kind of adapted. No incidents.

Obviously not something I'm supposed to be doing but in my mind it's a hell of a lot less distracting than texting anyway.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it, okay? I went from level 3->5 while driving, and it was glorious.

I imagine its easier for the people that already have their phones up while they text and drive.

I'm going to Hell. Express ticket, First Class.

Had a friend making posts about not playing Pokemon (not that I would) in places deserving of some form of seriousness or reverence.

To which I then posted this:

MewTwoAuschwitz.jpg

Yeah. MewTwo inside the gates of Auschwitz...

And was anyone wondering why Go hasn't been released in Germany yet? This is why...

So, I figure that I have a safe distance of about 100 feet from any synagogue now. If I get any closer I'll likely spontaneously combust...

They should rename this Pokemon Darwyn.
I cant wait to have my car wrecked and insurance cost magnified by some idiot.
Not to mention the risk of injury.

Games like this need an 18 certificate and serious fines for breaking it.
Not to say 18 year olds will suddenly be much better but at least they are then responsible for their actions which should make some difference.
Anyone having a driving accident while playing this should be banned.

Dude who the hell cares if adults are playing Pokemon. I'm actually excited about it. So nostalgic and reminds me of my childhood years. I'm 25 and playing this game like crazy and am having a blast doing it :), murika.

On topic, yeah we saw some teen girl yesterday driving and playing in a parking lot. Glad no pedestrians tried to cross in front of her.

People say the same thing with comics, video games, loud music, etc.. Fuck that. If it's too loud, you're too old....

Have fun. 12 or 92. Who gives a shit if they are having fun?

You're a fun Nazi. Literally Hitler. :D :D :D

It's fun, and I can play it with my kids. Because they always kick my ass at other video games. Except Street Fighter. Fuck them. I'm the champ, bitches! Some people bitch at others to grow up. Yet, they work 40+ hours a week, have a good education, a good family, own a house, own their car... But, they need to grow up. Pfft... I have sex. With girls. With my PP. I'm a grown up. :D

Considering I got stuck behind one douchenozzle doing 5mph through a commercial district in my town where the speed limit is 35, and I could see him holding his phone up and see PGo on the screen, it wouldn't be that fast. It's also illegal to be on a cellphone in my state, but that isnt stopping anyone.

CNN crawler said that both the Holocaust Museum, and Arlington National Cemetery, in the US have asked people to not use Pokeman Go on their grounds.

But drivers around the world will be glued to it.

What could possibly go wrong?

Lmao...fun is fun, however one views it. Stupidity is also a league of its own....trying to catch an imaginary object while fucking your real life objects up....

Age has nothing to do w/ this game. I've seen comments about people viewing 60 year old couples playing the game in the mall.

If phone zombies weren't dangerous enough already. They go and make a game that literally turns you into one. Epic fail. I hope they ban this shit, in all public places. And not because I'm old and hate games, but because it's literally a danger. A game that makes you walk into traffic without looking needs to die. And whoever came up with the idea needs to be slapped

SLOW NEWS DAY? Bitch about Pokemon!!!

Bitch bitch bitch about pokemon. Same thing happened when texting became the gold standard for communication.

Yeah, Pokemon will be undone by bullshit articles about the infinitesimal amount of people who take unneccessary risks and such.

Enjoy it while it lasts because while cops and blacks are shooting each other left and right and people are overdosing on heroin in the streets our big problem, our HUGE massive issue of the day is mother fucking POKEMON.

I'm glad your nanny state thinking is watching out for my well being .
