Well, I just downloaded the demo and find it very cool. It plays really well at 4k with my FX 8300 at 4.5GHz and a EVGA 980Ti FTW.

Just saw this.....
During the Bethesda E3 2016 press conference, Bethesda Softworks and id Software announced “DOOM” Unto the Evil DLC, which is the first multiplayer DLC of the 2016 first-person shooter game.
'DOOM' Unto the Evil DLC Release Date: First Multiplayer Update Adds 3 New Maps, New Demonic Enemy
Can someone tell me what the basic plot is? why did i wake up in that coffin? Why am i running around killing monsters. I know this is not a game with a deep story but curious the basic premise.
The basic plot is you woke up in some installation on Mars and shit has hit the fan, with demonic creatures on the loose. What else are you going to do?Can someone tell me what the basic plot is? why did i wake up in that coffin? Why am i running around killing monsters. If its not singleplayer, I couldn't care less.

So I beat single player with all secrets and stuff unlocked. Moved onto MP. Eh, seems a little hollow. I don't understand the demon runs or the hack modules at all. Are the modules like the burn cards from Titanfall? And I'm thinking its just a race to get to the demon rune? I only did a few rounds last night before bed. And the only modding to weapons is colors I take it? I was hoping to mod the weapons like they were in single player.
Alright, that's sort of what I got out of it.Yes, hack Modules are like Burn Cards from Titanfall, except they can last for more than 1 death (they have timers on them that expire).
Pretty much yeah for the Demon Rune - first one near it gets it. And if you kill a demon, it becomes available for pickup by somebody from your team, and then I think....if you don't pick it up within a certain amount of time, it becomes freely available to the other team as well.
Correct for weapon modding - it's only colors. The weapons have pre-defined mods for MP.
Does shit ever spawn randomly? I almost fucking shit myself because of this asshole hell knight.
This about sums up my thoughts on Doom so far
The demo isn't really enough to get a feel for what the whole game is like. It is well worth the $36 it's on sale for on Steam right now. I paid the full $60 when it came out; still playing it regularly more than a month later.I enjoyed the demo but it didn't blow my socks off or anything.
I wait till it's on sale for like $10-15 even if that takes a year.

Area was cleared and quiet for a while as I tried to figure something out. SUDDENLY
You don't get the weird rotating shadows near fog or smoke?
You could always remap keys by hand - I was considering doing this since I flip WSAD over to EDSF and it's annoying to switch back just for the map (although not a deal-breaker unlike Wolfenstein where the underwater section was completely broken).Hmmmm. No mention about finally letting you remap the hard-locked keys like Tab and E. Hopefully that's just a misc. fix they didn't feel like mentioning.
Due to life and things getting extra busy I had to put all gaming on hold for a while ... until tonight finally... got to Doom it out a bit more... The Rich Get Richer, that mother trucker of a challenge.. lol. I am pretty sure the neighbors heard me yelling... Finally beat it though.
Hmm... Got The Rich Get Richer on my second try with a controller. Only thing kicking my ass using a controller is the Ultra-Nightmare achievement. I gave up and did it with M+K, but I still want to try with a controller.I've played 95% of the game with a gamepad. There are 2-3 challenges though that I had to put a chair in front of the couch the living-room, and use the mouse and keyboard. (because I'm sure our neighbors could hear me yelling too, and there's quite a bit of distance between our houses...) My daughters suggested I take a break during one of them. hehehe
What's the file size of today's update?
