Apparently this girl is so good at Overwatch that she had to prove she wasn't cheating. Damn, I didn't know people were this serious about Overwatch.

What about how she plays that even made them think she is cheating?

That said, all pro players who play from home should have to do the same. The amount of fucking cheaters in pro gaming seems retardedly high.

I play a lot of Overwatch and I don't really see what she was doing that would make you think she was cheating. She has a dedicated healer on her and Zarya can shield herself so killing her may be nearly impossible. For those who don't know the game or the hero. Zarya can shield herself or allies and whatever damage is absorbed increases her damage the (0-100) under her cross-hair is power. She does an insane amount of damage if people focus her while the shield is up.

The only thing I can see that might look like cheating when playing against her is the twitch movements. I was having a hard time focusing on what she was actually targeting at times. It may look like an aim bot to some. But with Zarya's right click being an arc projectile, an aim bot would be useless

bloodhawk seems to have got it right, little kiddies being buthurt. I tried watching the vid and seeing her hand movements/screen movement, looks normal. he article says she was cleared as well, and hat some pros quit after that. Probably realized their gameplay is at the pussy level.

Honeslty, she doesnt even look much better than me and my friends. And i just started playing this game 2 weeks ago, although ive played cs and quake for 12+ years so i have some fps experience.

i guess the little boys are butthurt.
Except that 99% of the time when you suspect someone is cheating, its because they are.

Pro level players are also NOTORIOUS for using various cheats, so they absolutely need to police that. Otherwise it ruins the "wow" factor, when your immediate assumption is that its just another cheater instead of someone skilled.

And I don't even mind drug cheating, like taking caffeine and adderall to increase reaction times (which they all do anyway), I'm fine with that, just not electronic cheating.

There's probably money involved. And I think the game there is taken super seriously. So proving you're not cheating would be high up on her list.

I remember some people in our clans getting temp bans because they used an animation hack that increased the speed of your reloading in another game.

Well, the video was korean, so probably a good bit of money is involved. It should be high up on every pro's list.

I wish I had time to play video games like I did when I was younger.... -_-

This.

The time required just to attain a even KDR in most online FPSs today, is so much more than I could ever hope to commit...which is why, I get just utterly destroyed. /sigh

Ya for real life XP :p

It didn't look like cheating to me.

Yeah, I feel that way sometimes. But, at some point we all mature and become more responsible. Dunno about you, but if I had the time, I'd have fun for a few and quickly find a bunch of other things to do with my time.

My main problem (married w/4 children, one being under 1yr) is not being able to play whenever the f'ck I feel. When I do have a spare moment, I'm usually not in the gaming mood due to other factors. When I did have all the time in the world I never really played any one game for more than 45 min before getting up to take a break, and usually it's more frequent than that, and usually I'd find my way to a handball court, some girl, billiards, or some money making opportunity. Back then I'd still look at these "e-sports" or "pro gamers" like they were strange. We all had our personal computers (waaay before Windows) and game systems when we were kids (Atari at home, and those COLECO portable sports games), but we did that when there was nothing else to do.

I guess I'm trying to say " so what chick, go find something worthwhile to achieve in life." Never heard anyone being accused of cheating at doing something worthwhile for themselves or their community. lol What will these kids do with themselves when gaming is no longer a viable source of income for them?

I've played a fair amount of Overwatch and it really doesn't feel like there are lot of cheaters. I haven't really found anyone who I think is cheating.

That's because we have 1 guy who has an aimbot and a sniper with wallhacks. Blizzard already put the cheats in.

She'a Asian, two things are evident. She's probably very good, and there is a high probability of cheating :)
And that she plays at least one classical instrument, knows martial arts, changes multiple lanes without using a blinker when driving, and is super tight and will look young until she hits menopause when she will instantly transform into an old short pruney asian grandma. Did I miss any stereotypes?

I remember this same scenario back in the day of Counter-Strike and the OGC cheating epidemic. The really good players would be accused of cheating and sometimes get kicked from the server.

Male gamer's be like: "Show us your boobs or you must be cheating!"

good for her for being so good at the game

because this day and age millennium babies have nothing better to do with their lives or have no direction in life.
Yeah thats it

video games are everything in life

oh yeah blocking the upper part of your face and not disguising your voice electronically is not going to hide much
lol

For reference, this character (Zarya) has an ability to apply a 200-health shield on herself that lasts for 2 seconds; she also can project a 400-health shield onto a teammate, also for 2 seconds. Any damage done to those shields will boost the power of Zarya's weapon.

Her main weapon is a plasma cannon that can shoot a beam (left click, hitscan) or fire plasma grenades (right click, projectile) at the cost of chunks of ammo. The weapon damage is actually pretty terrible with no charge, but beastly when she is fully charged. The charge will tick back down to zero unless you keep applying shields and soaking up damage.

The complaints the other "pros" (who I've never actually seen named so who knows how relevant they are) made were regarding her high average charge amount throughout the game, since she apparently maintains a very high percentage throughout every match. Not sure what kind of hack they even suspected but it looks like regular Zarya play to me, and she's very on the ball with her shields.

Badge of honor. That she's so good that people think she's cheating means she's achieved videogame nirvana. Or something like that...

WRONG, videogames are not everything. They are a lot of things sure, but not everything. Food for example.

You didn't touch on the nipples.

After watching that video, is it safe to say that turn based games are a goner?

You get banned quick if they found out. I would say usually it's obvious when someone is.

She can prove she doesn't cheat by getting in the kitchen and making us a sandwich!

Agreed, I think the killcam is an excellent anti-cheat device. You always get to see how you died, and it's almost always due to a mistake you made, blind luck, or someone who was just situationally aware.

Accusing a zarya of all people of hacking is kind of ridiculous though. I mean her focus fire could be seen as aimbot'ish since she can hold a target so well, but coupled with her good judgement, movement, use of shields and grenades it's pretty obvious that she's just good. Zarya auto heals and with her shield it kinda nerfs any surprise attacks. A lot of OW deaths result on you getting the jump on someone, but she gets that extra 1-2 seconds to mentally adjust to any attack by shielding herself which is huge. Good Zarya's give me trouble, but I find the best option is either a ridiculously high DPS attack like Bastion who can cut her down in 3 seconds, or a movement impairing class like Mei or McCree pre-nerf. Sometimes some good ole harassment via Tracer is all that is necessary to frustrate any opponent. You dont even have to kill them, just keep them busy contending with you. You can see this Zarya always likes to have full ammo so she reloads a lot for a big frontal assault. Well she cant do that if you keep fucking with her forcing her to enter every attack at 50% ammo because she took a few shots at you to scare you off.

It depends on the person "suspecting." 99% (exaggerating just using your number ;) ) of people can't tell if a person is just good or cheating. They just assume it's cheating because they are all special snowflakes that have been told they are great at everything.
