I'm sure the Dutch police will do something about this as soon as they can figure out a way to slap the cuffs on an ISP. I hate making fun of people like this but, if you want to take action against an ISP, you should at least be smart enough to know that filing a police report isn't the way you handle a case like this.

Dutch film producer Klaas de Jong has filed a police report against four local ISPs, holding them accountable for tens of millions of euros in piracy related losses. The producer says that the ISPs are responsible for the actions of pirating subscribers, since they fail to block torrent sites and other download portals.

Should film makers be prosecuted for making films that are pirated?

These people are fucking idiots.

I-D-I-O-T-S-!

Yeah, and I want the MTO prosecuted because someone stole my car and use their roads to escape.

It will never happen. Because the very concept is fucking STUPID.

*Edited because the hive mind scares me.

You beat me to it, but good analogy.
I'm suing fast food because I ate it and got fat. I'm suing soda companies for drinking their sugary product - now I have diabetes and am fat. While I'm at it, I'll sue to MTO since they provided the roads I drove to get my fat food.

Sue your parents while you are at it, the fact you exist is the fundamental reason as to why you ended up being fat.

No you = no fat you.

I'm actually filing a lawsuit against [H]ard|OCP for manipulating my brain into seeking this place out first for computer hardware reviews. It's like they're literally inside my brain matter digging around and know what kind of computer hardware I need reviewed. It should be illegal, like carrying an ice cream cone in your back pocket in Alabama is.

So who is making all this money that the film producer isn't getting. I'm confused. O wait. The film producer IS confused. Someone smack this maggot.

ALL that money.

Oh I love watching the death struggle of copyright trolls. When they,re grasping at straws like this, it means they're very close to becoming history.

People want to point the blame somewhere. When they don't know how something works, they go for what is visible. In this case, it's the ISP.

Put out decent movies and people will watch them. Price them well and people will watch them. There will ALWAYS be pirates. They wouldn't have gone to watch your great movie even if it was $1 (or even free). Get it where they want to watch it (home) at a good price. Netflix, Hulu, etc. are huge because they do just that. For some, even $7.99 a month is too much. For a lot of others (myself included), piracy goes away. You have a low cost, easily accessible where you want it, service that brings you the content you want. I'm all for that.

That's like holding the phone company criminally liable if a criminal used their phone to discuss and coordinate their crime. It's absolutely moronic.

Next lets hold screwdriver manufacturers criminally liable whenever a screwdriver is used for a break-in.

Well, act quickly and go for what's visible. When you were a small child and you fell, you blamed the entire world, the stick, etc.. Not your dumb ass that tried to jump over it on your new bike. Damn, that hurt, too.

Funny money accounting. 90-95% of pirates would NEVER buy the crap anyway. I hardly ever go to the movies or even rent these days. I wait for it to go on streaming premium services WHICH I ALREADY PAY FOR.

Guys, I got a class action suit that's [H] as shit, but I need more suckers names. Were going to sue god for filling the world with idiots. Water tight.
