I know this may look like a regular ol' supercell lightning storm but, if you watch real close towards the end of the video, it's aliens. The guy doesn't say it in the video description but you and I both know...it's aliens.

The red looks like sprites, electrical discharges that shoots up from the cloud into the upper atmosphere.

Brings to mind the end of the rebooted TV series "V" actually because they ended it on a sequence known as "Red Sky" where their ships released a mist of some material that turned the skies worldwide into a reddish hue.
