How fast do you think you are going when you dive off a mountain in a wingsuit? Not as fast as this falcon! Holy hell look how fast that bird closed the gap on this guy. He's just lucky that bird didn't decide to attack.

"According to a National Geographic TV programme, the highest measured speed of a peregrine falcon is 389 km/h (242 mph)." (source)

Edit: And now I found out how fast a human in a wingsuit can go: "The fastest speed reached in a wing suit is 363 km/h (225.6 mph) and was achieved by Shinichi Ito (Japan) over Yolo County, California, USA, on 28 May 2011." (source) He apparently had to go up to 32,000 feet to do that, though.

I shamelessly take the links to these awesome videos and post them to my Facebook account. :p

Thanks Steve.

Oh come on, the Falcon was clearly using the wingsuit guys slipstream. Tell the Falcon to do it over but this time side by side, for Science.

Man that was awesome, this is why I must have a wing suit/jetpack combo.

God has created some awesome creatures, that falcon was moving out and maneuvering crazy precise.

Umm. 3dmark is going to sue someone.

ALmost an exact rip-off!!!!!!!!!!!

lmao

that's the first thing I thought as well...at first I thought it was the 3DMark video...even the wingsuit color looks the same

That is the awesome-ist video I've seen in ages!

Falcon wanted to remind the guy just exactly who owns the sky in those there parts.

Falcons are basically nature's divebombers, seeing one hunt is just awesome.

food food food food food fo.... ABORT ABORT ABORT ABORT!!!

my guess would be that he was near this birds nest and throught it was going to attack it or something but funny as shit no matter what reason it was for.

NatGeo had a documentary a while back about Frightful, a Pergrine that was trained to chase a lead lure. Recorded top speed was 242mph.

Funny to see the bird flare for the attack run and then... "OH SHIT, that's a whole lot bigger then I thought"
