Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Could you clarify what you mean by "Quick File sharing". Maybe a picture or link to a Microsoft TechNet article. There is no feature called Quick File sharing that I am aware of.
OK you're talking about standard File Sharing which sets the share and folder permissions at the same time. AFAIK that feature cannot be disabled.Yes there is because i'st first feature you can install when making and SMB file share. The second one down is Advanced File Sharing. Quick Share is typically used with Windows Machines, Like it says in the side box. Quick File Share or File Share Quick what's the difference anyway and no I can't take a screenshot because the machine can't connect to the internet for some reason caused by the static ip settings.

You said that, not me. Have you tried just using the traditional Advanced File Sharing?Ok, so I guess your telling me I have to reinstall Server 2012 R2, so my Fedora VM on the WIndows 10 machine though Hyper-V can access the Windows Server 2012 R2 folder share.
This thread is slightly confusing. What exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to remove a server role or are you simply trying to unshare a folder or partition?
[Edit]
I read your last post and this thread is even more confusing. Are you trying to share a folder or partition on a Windows server to a Linux VM and the Windows server has IP address issues?

The process of sharing a folder on the server machine and creating a mapped drive on the client machine is a fairly straightforward process, a share is a share, I'm not too sure what you mean by quick share?
If you go to the folder you wish to share on the 2012 server, right click, go to properties, click the sharing tab and click 'share' and make sure all your permissions are set correctly are you able to browse to the share on your Linux PC? This process works fine for me on my Ubuntu Mate 16.04 machine.
It's not the same as if you go through Server Manager and Select add or remove role though, which is not letting me remove it and no one seems to have a work around for me anywhere.
The role is automatically added when you share a folder or partition, it makes no difference whether you simply click on the properties of a folder, click sharing and add a share or add the role via server manager.
Have you disconnected the shared folder/partition?
Go to the shared folder, right click on it and select properties then click the sharing tab. Once this is done click advanced sharing and untick the checkbox that says "Share This Folder" - Do this for every share on the server.
