This is a daily deal 1 day only

Deal of the Day: Electronics Deals - Best Buy

Nvidia may reveal new cards tomorrow but with best buy's return policy you can just not open or even pick up the card for zero return risk.

Also anyone who bought when this card was $305 a few days ago should be able to get a price match in store or over the phone but you would have to do it today.

Dang! That's a good price on that card, even with the pending releases, if you like the reference design.

Not sure how the reference cooler is compared to aftermarket solutions, but there have been many aftermarket overclocked cards on the FS/FT for around $250.

It's a good cooler if you're looking to vent the heat directly out of the case. A lot of aftermarket solutions you'd need good case airflow to dump the heat out once they remove it from the card.

Both are good, just depends on what your case setup works best with.

Can't resist that reference design. Great price on the card. Might be time to upgrade.

I think it would be pretty stupid to go with this card for 280 bucks at this point. There have already been better deals on other 970 cards and I assume most people would have to pay tax making this over 300 bucks. And the 1070 will be announced tomorrow which will likely be around 50% faster for 50 to 100 bucks more. The 1070 will have much better support going forward plus will have plenty of vram too.

might be worth it to buy after the "1070" gets announced if it still is going to be cheap enough or the return period is long enough if you really needed a GPU "NOW" and couldn't wait until the "1070" hits retail but yeah even waiting until next week might mean the new cards are launched and it is hard to imagine the 970 is still the best option for this price range.

I def did the right thing returning the GTX 970 I had recently bought during the other BB sale on Wednesday :)
