Ultrafire CREE XM-L T6 Zoomable-2000 Lumen Tactical LED Flashlight $4.75 Free Shipping eBay

Not too bad for the price, plus it has 20% off for orders of 2 or more.

$7.60 for two

Thanks, bought 2. I highly doubt the "2000 lumen" claim but I have a bunch of spare 18650 batteries.

I went ahead and bought 4 after I saw Crosshairs and it made me think why the fuck not as well!

This really seems odd for that level of power/bulb quality.
"Output bright can come to 10 W (MAX)"

Huge waste of $5. Look at the pictures on the listing

Wtf? a square beam?

The Cree XM-L T6 is only capable of 975 lumens max and this probably uses a knockoff Cree emitter made by Latticebright, I also don't think this is even an Ultrafire which is already a suspect brand. If I had to guess I would guess that this is a 200-400 lumen light that will eat through batteries. Of course it's still a big step up from non-led flashlights so if you don't care about efficiency this wouldn't be bad to have as a knock around light.

A good cheap 18650 light with a legit cree emitter is the Convoy s2, it can be had for under $15. A step up from that would be an Olight, Armytek, or Zebra but each of those options gets more expensive.

That would be about a 3 amp load on an 18650 which is a common max for these types of emitters without beefing up the heatsink and overdriving them.

Not sure how the 18650 battery ones pan out, but I've had ones that use 3 AAA batteries, and that always seems to be the weak point in these as they connectors on the battery holder always seem to corrode whether it's a cheap 5mm LED one that you can get at Fry's or the Cree bulb ones they sell at CostCo

It definitely isn't 2k Lumens... Probably more around 500 or so, but still a good deal.

I go through flashlights at work quite often, so I'm in for 4.

Wtf? a square beam?

I have quite a few flashlights that zoom in and out with a square beam at the very end.. Ever looked at the LED bulb in there? It is square.

I have a couple of these, yes the LED is square but the lens is adjustable so you can widen it out and it looks circular. It's very bright and uses the common 18650 batteries. I really like mine, I bought it for $7 about 2 years ago and it's still my everyday light.

I got extra batteries sitting around so I grabbed two.

Thanks. I have been buying these and others like them as well as rechargeable batteries. I think I got enough to ensure I hve at least 4 flashlights with charged batteries :D

Worth one just because all the neat little LED flashlights have sharp teeth in the front and this is one of the few that doesn't.

I've been working with cree XML nearly 5 years and the T6 sure as fuck is never going to do 2klumens in any sort of usable way... lol

1k lumens if you're lucky.

And less cus it's TIR. THose optics show the die cus they focus it as needed at distance...

Doesn't hurt for the price, picked up two, Thanks OP...Also bought those 2x4000 mAh batteries and charger. Thanks a bunch guys. ^_^.

Oh yeah still a good deal if it's a real cree emitter. At that price I doubt it, they're still 1-2$ in volume...

This thing will not even be close to 1k lumen OTF, no less 2k. Most people have no idea how bright 2k lumens would be. With that said, this light is probably far brighter than what most people have ever seen, and at under 5 bucks is not bad, just remember the batteries are costly, but are also worth it.

Here is a photo of my custom drop in SolarForce light, this drop in came with the chart for its output rating, which is a max 950 lumen, after it reaches temp (it gets HOT) it drops down to about 800OTF lumen. If you notice the small and very dim light at the bottom right....That's a 4D LED Maglite, not even in the running.

Those batteries are fakes though. Do they work? Yes. But for only like 10 minutes, if that. Real 18650's are more expensive for a reason.

Mine ordered from the same seller last around 5 hours at the brightest setting on my XM-L handheld flashlight, and around 3 hours on my 3xT6 headlamp. Is it the claimed 4,000mAh? Nope, not even close... more like 2,000mAh. But at that price it doesn't matter to me.

Is that an actual XM-L? What amp draw is that at? What Driver does it have? Do you know OTF lumen? Probably not even 2,000mAh, but that is not the biggest worry, depending on where you order many of these have issues with exploding or catching fire, and many of them are not properly regulated (voltage) either. SOME places have the "good" knock offs, which for the price are a great bang for the buck. However my local Frys had the Tenergy ones on sale for $1.50 a pop, rated at 2600mAh, so I picked up quite a few of those last year, all my others are Panasonic 3,400mAh.

I already stated that this light was not even close to being 2k lumens. For 5 bucks, I bet it is around 500 tops.

It's somewhere between 500-1K. The beam is very visible at night and it has a great projection distance with very little cast off. I'll see if I take a picture tonight for comparison with my streamlight.

Wtf? a square beam?

Pretty common for these cheap chinese lights. Zoom it out and watch the square disappear... The fact that a $5 can put out that much light, that far is impressive. This will beat the pants off most store bought lights (maglight etc.) and cost next to nothing.

They do the job, they are cheap as shit. I have a drawer full of them. Would i trade them for my fenix lights? Fuck no... Would i buy a dozen of these and make sure they are in every glovebox and all over the house, hell yes.

Got my pair today. They're awesome for keeping in the glove box, garage and kitchen/bedroom drawer. Super bright. Not 2000 lumens but still really bright.

As actual as the ones in the deal posted in the OP or anywhere else on Ebay / Amazon. I've got more than a few laying around so I'd assume I'd spot a bad one pretty quick.
Don't know on amp draw, I haven't bothered to setup a rig with my Fluke and measure amp draw on a $5 flashlight with a $5 battery. :p
Yes, with cheap chinese batteries (especially Li-io) there is always that 'what if' safety risk - caveat emptor I suppose. :)

Also, for anyone looking for extra batteries I saw this on SD earlier:

4 PCS of NCR18650B 18650 3400mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery Protected Battery

4-pack Panasonic 3400mah 16850 cells $16 with free shipping (use coupon code SD18650). You can also get another $2 off if you're a new customer making these $13 - Just register for an account BEFORE you make your purchase, wait for your new customer 100 EB points email to come in, and then apply the 100 points when completing your purchase.

Like the earlier battery + charger deal I posted I have no idea on the build quality of these. I'm assuming they're slightly better than the Ebay cheapies....

If they are real Panasonic, they are the best you can buy, and at $13, is a steal....Assuming they are real. Have a link to the SD thread? Someone might have bought them before and know.

Pulled out my stack of protected 18650's the other day while trying to find the charger to give an unprotected LG 18650 a charge that wasnt from my ecig mod passthrough & realized I have 12 of them & only 3 flashlights that take them now.. So I bit on this for a couple more. Great for kids in the woods. Plenty of light & if they loose them then who cares..

I bought 4..cause for $15.20 why the fuck not

Same as everyone else. I bought 4 for $16 but in no way expect real 2000 Lumen flashlights. Where they talk about the focus presents concern on that matter, as they show 'settings' of x250 ... ... ... ... x2000. Simulated 2000 lumen via focusing?
