App That Redraws Any Picture Using Only Straight Lines

At first glance this seems really dumb, until you start playing with it. Crazy how detailed you can get. Would be a great screensaver back in the day... when people still used screensavers.
 
Hmmm, Seems to be a neat effect; so I uploaded a pix of my son at 4 yrs old. After giggling every setting on the software, I still cannot get a pix of anything recognizable.
Seems to work best on simple images.

I'm feeding it a spirograph image right now, it is taking a while to chew on it.
 
You need to use a lot of lines to get something close to recognizable.

I had it draw the image below using 9500 lines and you still can't make out who the person is.

Looks excellent with drawings. Not that great with photos or anything with a lot of detail. Damn that picture above... I keep looking up and messing up my typing! :)

Screw lines. I'm writing an app that will display images as tiny dots.
