Samsung 950 Pro m.2 in a mini-ITX case?

Can this work? I am looking to install one in the sugo SG13 which I am concerned about temperatures already: But I See the Samsung 950 pro 2280 m.2 drive can get up to 100 degrees Celsius! Will this cause any issues or would it be no problem?
 
I have the 950 pro 256 GB, the highest temperature it has ever seen is 78 deg. C and then the controller throttles. I don't think it can get to 100. I was really concerned at first but samsung gave it a 5 years warranty so I think that temperature wont be a problem.

I have the 950 pro 512gb, and haver had zero issues with it. Temp gun says 55*c and that full load gaming. I do have it in a Fractal R4 though with all fan options. I wouldnt be too concerned about it. If they wanted to they could have added a small heatsink.
 
As long as you don't run wright heavy benchmarks, or try to fill the entire drive in one continuous transfer, you will be fine. The only way to overheat it is if you deliberately try to like was done in the above video, which doesn't represent real world consumer workloads.
 
512GB is just fine as long as a fan is on it. MY 512GB sits under my 980TI with 1.254v running F@H or games and it cools my 950 PRO. Max was 60C ever on it. Generally 45-55C.

so if its under a GPU with that fan design or you have a fan blowing on it...it'll be just fine

BTW that 60C was with 4K benchmarks too.

I dont think it is possible for there to be a fan on it in my case (SG13 11 liter case). It is on the bottom of the motherboard a couple of mm from the bottom of the case. I am still leaning towards going to buy it now but I do infact plan on importing hundreds of gigabytes straight away; maybe I will do this in shifts, or let the thermal throttling take care of itself?

the other thing you can do if warranty isn't any issue is use thermal tape and small copper heatsinks.


looks liek u can moutnon the top of the case some fans.
 
I do think I could put one on the top but I am not very informed about the airflow situation. I am going to buy a 'static pressure' fan for the front 140mm opening, and then I could jerry-rig fans wherever is best, but the PSU fan is also a consideartion (up or down?)

static pressure is only needed on heatsinks. Jay from this forum had an informative video on youtube.

Also just check specs. Any good fan has them listed.
