AMD 386DX-40
Intel Pentium 100
Intel Celeron 300A
AMD Athlon XP Thoroughbred 1800+
Intel C2D E7200
Intel i5-2500K
Intel i7-3990K

These are across all my systems. These were all owned by me at one time for one reason or another. Some were servers, some were old gaming rigs, others were things I picked up because of a good deal and once I was done playing, I sold them off. If you want to know only what was in my main gaming rigs it would break down like this:

Intel 386 SX 16MHz
Intel 386 DX 25MHz
Cyrix 486 DX2 66MHz
Cyrix 486 DX2 80MHz -(Still have)
Intel 486 DX2 66MHz (Actually faster than my Cyrix 486 DX2 80MHz.) -(Still have)
Cyrix 5x86 133MHz
Cyrix/IBM 6x86 PR200+
Intel Pentium Pro 180MHz (x2 @ 200MHz) -(Still have)
Intel Pentium II 266MHz
Intel Pentium II 333MHz
Intel Pentium II 400MHz
Intel Celeron 300A (x4) (Never could get ONE of these to do 450MHz.)
Intel Pentium III 450MHz
Intel Celeron 366MHz (x2) (Abit BP6 dually rig)
Intel Celeron 533MHz (x2)
Intel Pentium III 800MHz
AMD Athlon 1.33GHz AXIA (Thunderbird) -(Still have)
Intel Pentium 4 2.0A (2.0GHz)
Intel Pentium 4 2.4C (2.4GHz)
Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHz
Intel Pentium 4 3.0C
Intel Pentium 4 3.0E
Intel Pentium Model 550 (3.4GHz)
AMD Athlon 64 3800+
AMD Opteron 254 (x2)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (Still have)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 -(Still have)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 -(Still have)
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9775 (3.2GHz) (x2) -(Still have both of these)
Intel Core i7 920 (C0/C1 stepping) (2.66GHz)
Intel Core i7 920 (D0 stepping) (2.66GHz) -(Still have)
Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition 980X -(Still have, retired)
Intel Core i7 3930K (Server rig)
Intel Core i7 5960X (@ 4.4GHz)

The reason for some of these upgrades was due to working retail and getting the Retail Edge deals as well as in-store discounts for CPUs. I was out of retail by the Pentium III 800MHz days. After that I played with far fewer CPUs. Early on my rig was woefully outdated and I often got cheap, but incremental upgrades from friends as well as hand me down hardware. I used to also buy CPUs, OC them and sell them off if they weren't worth a shit. I had a bad run of luck on the Intel Celeron 300A's. That's actually what led me to being a reader of this site. I became a forum member a bit later than that.

Personal desktop CPU's over the years (including family PC when I was a kid). I will ignore laptops:

Intel 8088 7MHz
Intel 386DX 33MHz
Intel 486DX2 66MHz
Intel Pentium II 266MHz
Intel Celeron 300A 300MHz (OC to 450MHz)
AMD Athlon "Thunderbird" 1200MHz (can't remember if I OC'd - first PC of my own, year 2000)
Intel Pentium 4 "Northwood-C" 2.4GHz (OC to 3.2GHz)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz (OC to 3.2GHz)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz (OC to 3.3GHz)
Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz (OC to 4.5GHz) - current since May 2012

Damn that is a lot of cpu's lol.

Just upgrade when I can't run more than a few games at desired performance. These are from the pc's I built, before that was all prebuilt and parents purchased.

P4 2.8c @ 3.4ghz
E6600 @ 3.6ghz
i7 920 @ 4.2ghz
4790k @ 4.2ghz

From kid (so parent's computers included):

486dx100 (with an EISA mobo and math coprocessor!)
P2-266MHz
P4-2.4GHz
P3-1.7GHz (T42; man I loved that laptop, only recently died)
I7-860 (still used)
I5-M520 (8440p; still used)

Lets see, I'm only counting PCs I call 'my own' so, no parents PCs when I was a kid/teen.

Main Rig:
AMD Athlon 3400+
AMD Phenom 9850
AMD Phenom II 955
AMD Phenom II 1100t
Intel QFGH Xeon E5 V3

Side Rigs/media centres:

Intel C2D E7500
AMD Phenom II X2 550
Intel i5 660

I'm forgetting SO many...

Intel Pentium 90
AMD K6-2 300
AMD Duron 700
AMD Athlon XP 1900+
AMD Athlon 64 3500+
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+
Intel Core i5-750

The only two chips that I didn't really put to "good use" were the K6-2 300 and 3500+. (was too busy being a teenager / young adult heh)

I'm still in shock that my i5 is holding up as well as it is! (Bought in Nov. of '09. THAT'S INSANE!! I mean, I can play Fallout 4, GTA V, and Witcher 3 all at reasonably high settings and fps. Still blows me away sometimes....)

Dan, thanks! Forced me to remember my progression-

AMD 286 12MHz
AMD 386 40MHz
Pentium 90MHz
Pentium 4 1.8GHz
Pentium 4 3.2GHz
AMD 6000+ 3.0GHz
Core i7 940 2.93GHz
Core i7 4770k 3.5GHz

I didn't build the 286, but built all of the others. Went crazy insane with the 1.8. Had an Adaptec RAID Ultra 320 SCSI card in there with 4 36.6GB IBM drives. Cost WAY too much. :D

I have quite a short list now that I think of it!

AMD Athlon K6-2 500
AMD Athlon 1800+
Intel Q6600
Intel 2600K(current system)

Never participated in one of these:eek: but here goes:)

Intel pentium mmx?
intel celeron(01)
amd athlon thunderbird 1.2ghz
amd athlon xp 1700+
amd athlon 64 3000+
amd athlon X2 4800 (2.5Ghz)
amd phenom x3 8750?
amd phenom II 920
intel core i5 2400

K6-2 300 mhz / radeon 7000 32MB SDR pci card
2.4 ghz "B" northwood pentium 4 / Ti4200 128MB
amd C-50 "bobcat" APU laptop that was dirt cheap and played a ton of UT99 on the go
amd A6 3620 APU 2.2/2.5 ghz / 560TI 2GB
amd A8 4500m 1.9/2.8 ghz laptop ( would play skyrim on medium @ 1366x768 )
i5 4440 3.1/3.3 ghz / 280x / 290x

looks pretty crappy in hindsight. i missed a lot with the PS2 era of gaming since consoles didn't suck back then and i used my pentium 4 machine until like 2010. skyrim got me back into pc gaming.

I'm looking for 'fast for their time' cpu's and gpu's to make legacy builds, hopefully with some velociraptor drives to boot, literally. I gave up hope on finding good CRT's though. I've got some at work but i really want some 19 inch "flat" CRT's in 1600x1200.

AMD K6 2 475 MHz
Intel Pentium 3 500 MHz
AMD Athlon 750 MHz (Slot A)
AMD Athlon 1 GHz (Socket A)

Intel Pentium 4 2.0A (2.0GHz)
Intel Pentium 4 2.4C (2.4GHz)
Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHz
Intel Pentium 4 3.0C
AMD Athlon 64 3200+

Intel Core i7 2600K
Intel Core i7 3960X
Intel Core i7 4770K
Intel Core i7 4790K
Intel Core i7 5930K (Current)

I know I am missing a few more, will have to sit back and think.

Also we should have one listing motherboards as well!!

My video card upgrade list is about as long as my CPU upgrade list. It might even be longer.

Intel (2006+):

E6600
E8400
Xeon W3520
i7-875K
i3-540
i7-2600K
i5-2500K
i3-2100
i7-3770K
i5-3570K

Athlon X4 750K
A10-5800K
A10-7850K

I've also own a variety of other CPUs from mobile and embedded systems but can't recall all of them. My video card list would be about 10x this list, I acquired a lot of GPUs from 2011-2012.

Intel Pentium II 450
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ X2
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
AMD 955 BE x2
Intel Core i5-4460 x3
Intel Core i5-4670K

Wow the memories, 3200+ x2 was for First child and I, 955 BE was for first and second child, and 4460 x3 was for 3 kids.

Intel 80286 (My 1st PC ever for gaming and Univ work)

{Long time using work computers only}

Intel Pentium D 960 (HP Family PC)
Intel E4300 (1st DIY PC/ Gaming))
Intel Q6600 (Gaming)
AMD Athlon II X2 245 (HTPC)
AMD Thuban X6 1055T (HTPC/Folder)
Intel Xeon 2490X 6 Cores (QA8V) Socket R (LGA2011-0) @ 4.5 GHz (Gaming)
Intel Xeon E5 2699v3 Dual CPU (All Purpose)

Holy Crap, not sure I can remember them all, but lets try:
This will be for my main pc only.

Intel 286
Pentium 60 @66
Pentium II 266 @300
Pentium III 550 @~650 or so
Athlon T-bird 1100 (By this time I worked at a computer store so I could trade in parts and do small upgrades like this for very cheap)
Athlon T-bird 1200
Athlon T-bird 1333 AXIA
Athlon XP 2000+ (Actually had two of these, at the same time, both on Epox boards, 8kha+ and 8kta3, one PC133, and one DDR 266)
P4C 2.4
Celeron D 2Ghz @ 3Ghz
P4 3.2/HT
Then left the computer store so I sat on that setup for quite some time, but then
Core 2 Dual E6600 EE @3.6Ghz from work, before they were released
Core 2 Dual E7500 @~4.0? (I think, but it was an E7x00 none the less)
Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.6-3.8 (Back to 65nm...)
Core 2 Quad Q9550 @3.8 or so (EDIT: I remember now I am 99% sure it was a Q9550)
i7 920 @ 4.0Ghz (Now my current windows server)
i7 3930k @ 4.4Ghz (Current Setup)

I have had a lot of other side boxes and such, though.
Some notable ones:
Dual PII 300 system, one of the earliest versions of my server
Dual P3 600E, was my computer at school. (Yes, in HS I had my own personal PC there as I did a lot of computer work for them)
Pentium 3 Xeon 450 1MB L2 (Finding a decent Slot 2 board was hard...)
Dual P3 1G Coppermine S370 (This ran my public webserver for a long time, eventually died due to crappy capacitor death. Still have this board and CPU's)
(Yeah I had an infatuation with SMP systems, lol)
8-way P3 Xeon 900 2MB L2 (Still have this BEAST, and OMG it is a BEAST its like 4-5u+!)
i7 980 (Not extreme edition ver) @ 4.2 Ghz (My current Linux server at home running my ZFS)
i3 3225 (HTPC, OpeneELEC)
i3 3220 (pfsense router)
i5 3570 (Box at my side business)

GPU Wise, lets see if I can remember them all...
Starting with the PII 266:
Riva 128 4MB
Voodoo Banshee 16MB
ATI Rage Fury Pro (Rage 128 Pro) 32mb (oooooh 32-bit color!)
Voodoo 3 3500 TV 16MB (Loved that TV tuner and shit, still have this)
Voodoo 5 5500 64MB Oh yes, Anti Aliasing! And back then the v5 was way better AA than GF 1 or 2.
Geforce 3 Ti 200 128MB o/c'd (About here is when I worked at the computer store, so I swapped a lot)
GeForce4 Ti4200 128MB o/c'd
Radeon 9500 128MB (softmod to 9700)
Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB (Here, I left the computer store, stuck with this on the P4 3.2 for a while...)
Had some gaming laptops in here
Radeon X1950 GT 256MB
GeForce 8800 GT 512MB (Still have this)
Radeon HD 4850 1GB
Radeon HD 4850 1GB CF
Radeon HD 6950 2GB (shaders unlocked to 6970)
Radeon HD 6950 2GB (shaders unlocked to 6970) CF
Radeon HD 7970 3GB
Radeon HD 7970 3GB CF (Current Setup on 3930K)

I'll try to add the progression for my additional computers in the household. But it'll be hard to remember.

2nd PC (first it was mainly used to play games in multiplayer with my friends when they would come over)

AMD K5PR133 100Mhz (It's not the same CPU re-used that was in my main PC, a completely separate setup, it's pure co-incidence that it had the same CPU type
Celeron 300A @ 375 Mhz
Celeron 366 @ 450 Mhz
Celeron 600 @ 900 Mhz
Athlon XP 2100+ (yes this is the cpu from my main PC)
Core 2 Duo E6300 (again re-used CPU from my main PC)
Cure 2 Duo E7300

3rd PC, that started out as something to have fun with, but later became my home server

Intel Pentium 166MMX
Intel Pentium II 266
Intel Tualatin Celeron 1200Mhz
AMD Athlon X2 3000+
Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180
Intel Celeron G540 (still running this, and I see no reason to upgrade it does everything it needs to)

4th PC I built because I couldn't miss the hype train that was the G3258, it's used by my father as a gaming PC now.

Intel Pentium G3258 @ 4.3

Laptop Progression:
Intel Celeron M230 1.7 Ghz
Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200, 2 GHz
AMD A6-3400 1.4Ghz

The Pentium Pro came in only a few clock speeds. 150MHz, 166MHz, 180MHz and 200MHz. The 150MHz variety seems to have been the most rare. I almost always saw more 180MHz chips than anything else, but 200MHz CPUs were pretty common.
