Full Body Haptic Feedback VR Suit

Only if I knew my girlfriend wasn't gonna be coming over unannounced....and the curtains were drawn tight....and the door to the room was locked....and any video recording device had its sensor covered...

Oh and I guess if it had good software to go with it...

Should work great as long as there are extra sensors in certain mid-body areas... AMIRITE?

Wow. Getting virtually kicked in the nuts. What a bargain LOL

It would add an interesting dimension to fighting games for sure. In that case I'd want to be able to "protect" certain areas from feedback. :D

Many cyclists already wear similar gear, don't see anything special here.

If everyone looks like a spandex advertisement, then nobody does.

It needs gloves & shoes (for fighting games & the like), a helmet / face mask, and many more sensors. But the idea is really cool.

Oh crap! The Synths are real! We're being replaced!

:D

Suit doesn't look too bad to me though I wouldn't dare wear it out in public.

I hope it can realistically mimic bullet impacts. Would make combat games more realistic.

So you'd prefer haptic feedback that will leave a 12" diameter bruise on "armored" body parts with potential to break ribs? Have fun with that

I get what you're saying, I'm just being a dick, lol.

Holy Tron-suit Batman!

On an unrelated note, am I the only one that noticed the staged MacBook/Surface scene in the background? Hey Apple and Microsoft, we use your stuff! Develop for us, please?

So, how many people would look as good wearing the suit as those two CGI specimens do?

LOL at the average ANYONE being seen wearing something like that.

Yea, I'm thinking I'll look better if they come in stripped patterns :D

Come on, you guys know what this is ..... it's the new pr0n suite, no shit ;)

I didn't listen to the audio of the video, but at 1:38 they appear to show the zones where you feel impacts. None in the crotch, but you can get spanked on the butt.

I remember back in the SNES / Genesis day there was a feedback device that did was sold promoting that you could actually feel the punches in games.

Or, you could ditch the suit, walk outside, and experience actual reality.

Agreed, fuck FPS games, get your lazy ass in the army and do some real shooting. Or for faster results, just go on a shooting spree somewhere, less time to fire a gun ratio.

so many uses for this... ;). It look good though, just many a name change is needed

All I see is this:

Looks like the imaginary tech in Ernest Cline's book (Ready Player One) isn't too far off. I highly suggest reading it, it's pretty good and is apparently being made into a movie.

Well, I found the part of the video where the guys first came up with the idea.... What if we could grab Lara's boobs and feel them in vr?

Anyways, whats the point unless you can tie this into whole body mocap for input? You know what really gets the realism going? Feeling like i jumped off a building and got shot twice before I hot the ground and roll and kill the terrorist leader, all while that montion feedback while im sitting still with my hands on a xbone controller...

I was sold at virtual hugs so I am pre ordering today.

I would really love for this to have the controlers in the suit not an xbox controler. I want to jump, dodge, roll, weave, even if it's gestures.

As fun as games would be I see the potential for training videos like virtual hands on building skills from computers to construction. I am a hands on learner and this would help.

Why am I seeing Neo when I look at all this new VR/Feedback/Deep Learning stuff...

Hope it's easy to clean after a long night of porn surfing.
