So I've been having this problem for a while and I've tried to perform the setup for the receiver to correct this, however it keeps happening.

If the receiver is turned on from an off state, the center channel's db will be -9db. Making voices and center channel audio more difficult to hear compared to the other speakers in the setup.

The center channel is a Polk CS2 II
Fronts are: Polk Monitor 70s
Surround: Polk Monitor 30s
Sub BIC 12"

The Microphone for the setup was positioned about 10ft away from the TV.

If I change the Center db to something like -2db, the audio is much better, and more understandable. However it resets every time. Is there any way to permanently set it to -2db?

Do a factory reset on Onkyo, and don't use mic get a SPL meter from radio shack and measuring tape, mic's suck for all makes and brands
Buy a Denon or Yamaha, I stopped selling Onkyo due to it having bad quality control spent to many hours replacing and repairing receivers

I JUST bought this receiver within the past couple of months. So I'm not really for the idea of replacing it just yet. But maybe the factory reset idea isn't bad. Everything else sounds great with the settings.
