Question regarding Bullets or Blades code sale

I have an extra code for current Nvidia promotion, and I want to sell it on Ebay. I don't sell on Ebay much. I have a few questions:
1. Is there any way for me to check if the code is valid without redeeming it? ie when I enter it in on the redeem page, does it redeem it immediately?
2. Is there any sort of way I can protect myself as a seller if they claim the code didn't work?
3. Most auctions for these say that they will mail you the code. I have heard about issues with Ebay always wanting something physical to be shipped and recorded for each auction. Is there anything I should be aware of?

I would recommend simply selling it here. With eBay you run the risk of selling it to someone who is not reputable and who may simply take the code and say it didn't work, plus you have to deal with eBay fees. The code is quite popular in these forums around the $30 or $35 range.
 
Mmm... well, I could do that, but I don't have any Heat to speak of. On Ebay (the only source of my own reputability), all I've sold that I can remember is... umm... a 600$ Mac video editing program and a college textbook.

Plus, don't I need to set up some stuff with paypal or something to receive payments in the FS/T section. Part of the reason I don't trade there is that I"m not sure how all of that works and there is no quick start guide.

A small item like this that you can instantly deliver is the PERFECT thing to build some reputation with. Create a heatware account and ask the buyer to leave you some quick feedback. Most will do it when asked if only to get the same back.

No special paypal setup. They simply pay you using your email address.
