Steam Winter Sale

Think GTAV will be cheaper by spring? I would get it now but I'm 20 hrs into FO4 with another 100+ to go. Would't get to another game for a few months. I cant play 2 games at the same time and chew gum

I was kind of hoping for a deal on Darius. I know it is brand friggin new but on release day it was 20% off so I don't think it would be insane for them to do 30-35% off for the winter sale :(

It's bound to go down. Steam isn't even the cheapest place to buy it now (and greenmangaming had it for around 32 bucks (with an online code) a few months ago.

what happened to Sickboy?...his Steam sale threads are a tradition

I'm only looking out for 1 game this sale- SOMA

The sales look pretty similar to the Fall sales (sans cards, of course).
Anything noteworthy?

You get one for going through your queue.

Then, you need to generate a new queue for the second card.
Then, generate a third queue.

I don't think there is anything worth purchasing this sale. Hit me if FO4 is cheaper. Already have it on PS4 and wouldn't mind a sale on it. It is 82 bucks in my region.

Yea... I'll probably pick up The Witcher 3 (been waiting for it to sell for $30 on Steam again so I can add it to my mile long backlog) and maybe Besiege, but that's about it. Overall the sale looks pretty underwhelming to me. I'm really not liking the new setup with no Flash Sales. Games one would expect to be 66% off during a Flash Sale are just a flat 50% off for the duration of the sale, etc.

Yeah I've been eyeing "Ori and the Blind Forest ", I think when they last had flash sales it was 75% off for a 4 hr block bringing it down to $5, since then the cheapest it's gone is 40% off, $12. Probably still worth it at $12 but with my backlog, I can wait....

Back to the Commonwealth!

Finally picked up the completed edition of LA Noire. I've recently fallen in love with that era again and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Think I might get Skyrim but not sure I will like it. The last Elder Scrolls game I played was Oblivion and I never made it more then 30 minutes into the game before I stopped playing. So if I was bored/not interested in Oblivion, will I feel the same with Skyrim?

I got almost all of the games I wanted in the fall sale. One thing I do recommend is getting witcher 3 if you have been on the fence. Just finished it and it was great with just 32hrs played.

I found Skyrim started off better. Oblivion was a little clunky and it took me a couple false starts to get into it. As a rule, I find sword and dodge games a but unsatisfying but Skyrim was better with the archery. With a little leveling It gets to be more like fps sniping. Skyrim and Oblivion are more alike than not but Skyrim has some tweaks that make the sweet spot wider and easier to hit sooner. Some battles are pretty epic as games go.

i'm going to pick up Pinball Arcade Season 3 for half off. It's as close as you'll get to pinball without the actual machines.

32 hours and you finished? I'm at 33 hours today and I still have a TON of things to do!

Yeah that's on my want list although they are supposed to be making a "definitive edition" so not sure if I should wait for the new version or not. If I see it at $5 I'll be buying it for sure.

I liked that game. I understand why a lot of people didn't, but I enjoyed it.

The new format for sales on Steam sucks. I hope the numbers are way down from past years so they go back to the old format. Also have to go through 36 pages to get the 3 cards instead of voting a few times a day is terrible.

There's way too much crap to sift through.

Oh yes, finished with the main quest I should say. I'm still going to be going around and doing some stuff as well as getting the blood and wine expansion :)

I'm just telling myself it's because Valve is busy on other projects. Like a certain game that has been forever in coming.

I picked up Alice Returns, RAGE (I have to see what the fuss was all about), Spintires, The Evil Within bundle, Skyrim Legendary, and Carmageddon. Might play 2 of them before I die of old age.

Picked up Talos Principle for $10 instead of $40.. looks amazing
duke nukem forever $3.99

annnd square enix humble bundle in other news

Wonder if Endless Legends will be more than 66% off?

Looking at getting a few copies, so it adds up.

I'm probably only going to get these:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: $4.99
Just Cause Collection: $4.74
System Shock 2: $1.99

Talos Principle is awesome. Soundtrack is pretty good too

GTV V @35.99 - is it worth it? I've played it a while back on PS3 back in a the day, but I'm wondering how the online gameplay is?
