Your favorite intro to a game....

The entire Dead Space trilogy has some epic introductions. Dead Space 2 in particular was pretty intense. But I will always remember jumping to the USG Ishimura in the first game and seeing the huge chunk of rock it pulled out of the planet.

My favorite by far, though, has to be Mass Effect 2. When I first started the game I had the surround sound cranked, and the whole scene of the Normandy being attacked to Shepard being blown out to space... It's making me tear up and giving me chills just thinking about it.

A close second has to be The Last of Us. I felt it authentically captured what it would be like in the case of a zombie/infected outbreak from a family perspective and ended in a tragedy that sets up the tone for the rest of the game.

ToR has such epic intros. Their latest one had everything in it.
 
It would be the PC game Reunion for me. I loved the soundtrack to the intro back then and still love it.
 
Not a PC game, but Sonic CD was pretty epic.
Quake was pretty neat with the Reznor soundtrack blasting.

I'm gonna have to say Diablo 1 also. It was also kinda the first video game I ever really got into.

I remember combing through the manual reading all the occult tid bits OVER and OVER.

Oh crap. I think Diablo 1 might be why I now have occult tattoos all over. FUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuu........................ :D

Obviously that's a pretty popular one has already been said. Transports me right back to the first time I played.
 
Planescape: Torment + the initial dungeon is up there for me.

Damn....I remember when my brother showed me this PC game's intro for the first time back in 1998

I thought this was the coolest thing I ever saw at that time..... I still watch it sometimes for a bit of nostalgia....Especially the last part of the intro... Check it out

its part of why i got Titan Fall it came really close to Shogo in feel i really hope they can make a good single player story for Titan Fall 2
