Man this is aggravating as hell!!! Just sits at the "shipping information" page forever. Once it gets to the shipping method page it has "Choose a shipping option" but there is nothing there?

If I click next it of course gives me an error.

Well, I just ordered one. Free shipping code worked for me. I don't pay sales tax in Oregon, so hell of a deal if it goes through. I really don't expect to get it though with as janky as their site was. I suspect they ran out of stock the day the deal went live but that their site doesn't actually check stock.

Yup not looking good my order status already says "On Hold"

I really hope my friend gets his monitor. He doesn't have much money to throw around and he's been on an old 1080p Asus for a long time now. This monitor would be a colossal upgrade for him, at a great price. Even if they have some pixel issues, they're still plenty worth it at this price. I have a refurbished HP LP 2465 and it's been running for like 6 years now, and came with plenty of backlight hours on it in the first place. I got some backlight flicker on it at some point, but it has stopped doing that since a long time ago. If these are anything like that one, they're built to last. Plus LEDs last longer than CCFL by default.

I have the HP LP 2465 as well that I bought refurbished and it's still running great. How big of a upgrade/sidegrade is the NEC monitor?

NEC makes some of the best displays out there. You'll laugh...but I still have an NEC 4:3 17" monitor I use in my Windows XP in my basement for old games. I shy away from refurbished displays myself. But then again, you can score a great deal here & maybe you won't have dead pixels. If I didn't just buy a BenQ Bl3200PT 32" I might have considered this purchase.

God I wish I could get in on one of those 46" 1080P business grade panels. They're thick and crazy heavy, sure, but they look amazing and will run forever. Anyone know how long this deal lasts? Through tomorrow at least I imagine?

Most likely. I figure most folks here are ordering the 1440p monitors as it is, so it may last a bit longer for the business grade panels. NEC Display has these sales up every November/December, but you have to keep your eyes open, as they don't have a set date.

My first IPS panels were two NEC 20" 20WMGX2s that cost me $700 each. My second IPS panel 5 years latter was a 24" 1080 $120 ACER that looked as good. There's really no excuse no to have a good monitor these days. I mean if someone doesn't have $125 for a new 24" IPS they might as well cut internet off and save money lol

Be careful guys/gals. I just received a fraud alert on my credit card. I am not saying it was cause by NEC website but this is the only thing out of my routine that I can think of. Looks like my information was compromise by the Chinese or someone dinning in Shanghai.

Is this officially dead/sold out? I'm not even seeing an option to add to cart.

just a heads up, I contacted NEC today about large format monitors and they DO NOT include stands. the desktop monitors do.

This is a desktop monitor. The large format ones are the 40 + inch TVs.

Glad to see people are using this thread. Mine has also been on hold. (I am the OP)

Guy on slickdeals said he called NEC and they had only 8 in stock. I don't think we're going to see any.

wow! Not sure what gonna do with it tho lol.

Tried if the free shipping code works and it worked! The shipping wouldve been $126

Edit: ordered one. $200.00 Shipped for 65" LCD is freaking deal evern if it's refurbished.

yeah hopefully they go through. That is insane. I was looking at the 52" and went back to look at others and it popped up. wondering if they just added it because I didnt notice before.

Holy hell. Thats a $3-$4000 tv isn't it?

EDIT: Crap. They fixed the price. Its 1097 now. Almsot had my order completed before it updated.

my card shows the payment as pending for both 65" monitors i ordered @ $179.. we will see I suppose.

Guys, I'm super freaked out now. Not only has the Chinese been watching me, now I find out slickdeals been watching me the whole time *puts on tin foil hat*

Also about my fraud alert, it looks like someone from slickdeals called customers service and the NEC's website was hacked in order to compromise personal info. Monitor your activity guys.

Stop spreading this crap. I called up NEC and the representative said that they only had 10 available so it is pretty much first in first out as to who gets one. He said that mine looks like it might be one of the ones that gets fulfilled. I guess I got it in early enough. He said they got over 800 orders and he's having to go through and cancel them one by one. He's going to notify me later if I get mine or not.

That sounds like someone on slickdeals trying to scare people away so they don't snatch up inventory...

I just called NEC and they didn't mention any website hacking. That would be a pretty big bomb to drop on a random customer by some low level customer service rep, I highly doubt that story.

They did mention having website troubles, not news to anyone here, and that there were way more orders than stock. He said it should be resolved "today or tomorrow..."

have you guys got email confirmations and/or order numbers? I ordered two displays and received neither confirmation or an order number, but my card shows the pending charges.

I received an order confirmation with an invoice, but when I plug the numbers into the NEC order tracking web page nothing shows up. /shrug

Not spreading crap, but I was quoting slickdeals so take that with a grind of salt. Also my card did get compromise. Take those as you will. It was just my PSA to a very nice community. No need to bust a fuse, just don't take the advice.

Don't worry buddy, I'm sure you'll get your monitor ;)

I wasn't really trying to sound like that to you specifically, moreso at Slickdeals. As for you, you got a confirmation that your card was compromised and then someone at Slickdeals posted that. I can understand why you would tie the two events together. But they're unrelated in this case (one appears to be nonexistent). In fact my bank is pretty anal about fraud and whatnot, yet I received nothing from them.

I knew I wasn't getting one yesterday. Today Micro Center cancelled a SSD I bought, They said "oops" it wasn't really for out-of-store delivery even if their site said it was and they charged me shipping. Guess once you get away from the big sites (Egg, Zon, Bay etc) you roll dice these days. Maybe its a "language skill" problem among staff

Wish they would hurry up and cancel if they are going to do it. Need a new 24" or 27" LCD this week for the desktop I'm building my wife.

Like I said, the guy said that there were over 800 orders for the monitor, and it sounded like he was the one handling them all. Basically I called their online orders department. As soon as I mentioned refurbished monitor, they handed me off to this one guy who sounded a bit tired... so yeah...

Basically I think it's going to be like this. If you ordered when the deal first presented here on [H].. like within a few hours or so... you might get in. There are only 10. Anyone who ordered after that is going to get their order cancelled.
