Newegg Black Friday in full effect now thru 11/29

I picked up a laptop in their early sale yesterday. $350 for a 15" Asus w/ a broadwell i5. Dropped another $60 on a 120GB SSD and another 4GB of ram for it. For being into it $410 at that point, it should be a pretty capable machine. Shit resolution screen, but it's going to be used for messing around with on the couch when I don't feel like being in my office. I can live with it.

They also have an Amex $25 statement credit if you spend over $200. I just combined it with the $25 Visa Checkout and bought the Asrock X99E-ITX which is $239.99 and comes with a $30 MIR. After all discounts, I end up paying $160 for the mobo.

a little underwhelming.

"Ohh look I can get a NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet at it's normal price of $199!!!"

Bee waiting for the CL Blaster Z PCIe to come under $100 retail, just picked it up for $65. :D

No AMD R390X on sale. I thought for sure NG would have one. Glad I bought the Tiger Direct 980GTX for $354.99 (AR $30.00) Plenty of R390's on special.

That is a pretty hot deal on the Polk tower speakers, especially with free shipping Beats the recent slickdeals offer by ~$30:

The few comments mention shipping trashed the boxes. Wonder if that's the norm (speaker boxes of that size are heavy), or just a UPS dude with a bad back who was particularly ornery that day?

Edit: also, didn't look through each and every one of 'em, but the gtx 970/980 and comparable amd video card deals are crap. There have been better deals popping up almost every week than that stuff.

edit 2: spotted refurbished Razer mechanical keyboard for $65. Seems like a decent enough deal. They use knock-off cherry switches tho.

Just Noticed, NewEgg has the OCZ Arc 100 240GB SSD for $60 with FS on eBay which is cheaper than on their site. I got an email stating there is a 5x eBay bucks deal going today and tomorrow which is $5 or so back in eBay bucks as well.

Seems like nobody is putting 5TB or higher drives on sale, except for external shit that is probably writes slow as molasses.

I've been eyeing the Dell Inspiron 15 w/ 6300U & GTX 960M but I think I have found something else.

The MSI PE60 is $899 and has an amazing screen and speaker setup for only $100 more.

I found it funny that the best deal (IMO) on nerdegg's black friday sale is an IGBT plasma cutter. As long as you're not going to cut all day those are pretty nice features for $300.

They have several on sale. You have to search "R9 390X".

anybody have any experience with a HP ProLiant ML110 G9? this would be for a home server build
seems like a solid buy @ $399

I googled this for a bit, I just ordered a Lenovo TS440 a few days ago from TG for $299, but that HP seems like a much better deal. I found it on ProVantage with 8GB RAM? but I can't find that product identification number on HP anywhere, all the 'base' models include a 1TB HDD too, who knows wtf is in that box...

I don't doubt at all that it's actually DDR4 and not DDR3 however.

Don't want to make a new thread but galax store has the 980 Ti w/ 3 fan cooler for 569.99 through black Friday. Hot damn.

Thanks for the info, looks like they jacked the price back up to $800, going to pass

I bought some Polk bookshelfs about 2 years ago and both tweeters were completely dead, they even measured "open" on my multimeter...meaning a physical break in the voice coil somewhere. I called and also made an online ticket with them and never got any response of any kind. I ended up using some other tweeters I had that mostly fit the opening (I got lots of various speaker drivers from past projects).

This seems to be a common complaint with them.

Those speakers do LOOK impressive, and Fry's usually runs specials on them for $279ea. But I am concerned.

I just bit on the Nvidia GTX 970 that was $290. I don't feel great about it considering how long those cards have been out.

Newegg had a deal thru ebay for a Zotac 970GTX for $249.99 last week, plus a free game. I didn't consider the 970GTX myself as I have a 2560x1440 display. I'm sure it would have played some games just fine.

picked up a dell U2414H for $150 by combining visa checkout and amex offers. couldn't resist at that price
edit: I've read, but can't confirm, the amex promo coupon has expired. although wouldn't surprise me since it was on slickdeals forum

I paid $247 for my Asus 970 with Jet's 20% off.

I wouldn't pay anything more than $250 for a GTX 970 because like you said, they've been out for awhile..
