Post Your Workstations 2015

Got me an Ikea Jerker desk, the owners of the company I work for had it sitting in the back of the wherehouse so I asked my manager if they decide to sell it to let me know, so he went to the owners and told them that he wanted it so they gave it to him and he gave it to me! For nothing!

I used to have two of them. I get a little sad thinking of how easily I let them go. That was a bullet proof desk.

I have three ikea jerkers I still love them and currently use two of them. Wish I could fins more shelves for them

I've had my motorized desk for about a month and I love it.

Everyone should have to post albums of their setups, not just pics. Thanks for the detail and for sharing. I'd love a standing desk like that at some point.

That is a super clean setup. What is the headphone DAC/AMP you have mounted on the right side? That's a great idea. The one thing I can't stand about my m50's is the huge cord that tangles in everything.

Thanks for the comments! It's a FiiO E10K mounted with velcro so I can still take it with me on the go.

How are you liking the evodesk? Any issues?

It functions very well but the top is iffy...it's very difficult to clean and a few scratches have mysteriously appeared on mine. My roommate had a bit more difficulty because a little bit of water got on it and it absorbed & bubbled on day 2. Evodesk support just told him yeah that happens but when he tweeted at them they pretty much instantly sent him a replacement.

My goal is to get as much life out of it as possible (a few years) and then replace it with a reclaimed wood top. Both of us have a lot of weight on ours and it still goes up & down quickly and reliably so functionally we love them

Im bored af so ive decided im going to rate everyones BS out of 10, giving a few + and - points where appropriate :)

I'm not trying to be nitpicky here, but isn't this the "Post Your Workstations" thread? I thought we had a whole thread devoted to rig specific photos. I love coming to this thread to see where people work, not so much what they are working on, you know?

I have done away with the antiquated peice of furniture known as a "desk".

Both monitors and the keyboard are attached to wall-mounted arms, which saves a lot of space, and lets me move them around easily, e.g. into a standing configuration like so:

stand.jpg

On the right is my new case. On the left is my old case, sitting on an amplifier, waiting to find a new purpose.

The original keyboard tray that came with the arm (an Ergotron LX) was not large enough to fit my keyboard, and the slide-out mouse tray was too flexy, so I constructed a more rigid replacement out of aluminium honeycomb which I skinned with carbon fibre:

It's nice being able to move the keyboard up and down - desks are never the right height.

My setup hasn't changed a whole lot in a few years. I really would like to get another desk because I hate the glass and I hate the keyboard tray but the desk isn't deep enough to put the keyboard/mouse on top comfortably.

Currently in transition. New desk, new rig about halfway done. Still waiting on a GPU, some new speakers, a nice set of headphones, and a desktop mic.

This ENHANCE GX-MP2 XL mouse pad is awesome, one of the few cloth pads that are fast enough for me, it's also very comfy...

I did alot of research on a proper fitting headphone stand for my Audio Technica ATH-AD900x cans, this Brainwavz Zirconia stand is amazing, has the correct height, is very stable and looks awesome the way it catches the light and reflects it.
I'm very impressed w/ the clarity of the acrylic, it's almost crystal like...

Under desk lighting are just white LED xmas tree lights on sparkle mode it creates a very pleasing effect.
