Nano water blocks to make your SFF PC even smaller. ;) There are a lot of variants; I only posted one. You know... The one I liked. :p Regardless of whether you like the pricing of the Nano or not, that is one damn sexy water block! It looks like a damn credit card! I think my soundcard is thicker than that. I can almost guarantee you that it is!

They are the same price but are the Fury X and Nano cards the same? I think I’ve seen water blocks that say they fit both. If you were going to put on a water block would they run the same or is the Nano firmware going to have lower clocks?

The single cards slot would be cool. If only they had HDMI 2.0 and a little lower price. It's been about two years now with my 290x cards and I'm disappointed by both latest AMD and Nvidia cards. Just not enough of a performance bump to buy another one or two $600 cards.

That's a good looking block. I wouldn't mind building a crossfire setup with single slot Nano or Fury X cards.

Gotta love aqua computer, they make some really nice looking blocks and well... everything really.

bits that I seen the nano is indeed slightly different as far as VRM placement and the like due to reduced length it "mostly" looks the same but there are differences that I can see, not counting the back of the PCB

So it should be compatible with either Fury X or nano nano is just more "crunched" together, so probably more to place pads and such to make that difference?

I kind of like that "new" cooler, it looks like it works very well, though not sure how much air blows in and out of case, I damn well want a new blower style that blows most if not all the hot air OUT the back without being a jet engine sound as air cooling there is so much less that can wear/go wrong, they need to settle on using a "standard" fan however so one can easily get replacements as the bog standard blower style I have had 2 fail on older gpu within ~3 years combined, the gpu still worked perfectly fine however.

The average liquid cooler, not counting drying out or whatever is ~ 6 3/4 year MTBF which is still ok, but one cannot always get the replacement for those either, aftermarket replacement for the fans would be awesome, they need a "standard" that works well, and sure would be nice to have it blow out its ass end as so much easier to control case airflow, I could deal with a 2 1/3 even 2 3/4 slot if it blew out the back to reduce backpressure and noise as well as easier to clean :)

It's not pointless by any means at all.....Its just not for everybody, nor is it intended for a very huge market. For the actual amount they put on store shelves im sure will get bought.

So the Nano is for people that can't fit the Fury X water cooler in their tiny PC, and these waterblocks let them add a water cooler to it. Because presumably they will suddenly have room for this? Hrmm...

I have a 9x140mm rad / pump / 3gallon res in my basement that is piped up stairs. I might be a minority. :D Own your house and want silence/small case? Put the big noisy shit someplace else!

I think I'd check to see if Fury X has a better power section. If it does I am not sure why you'd throw this on a nano and hope to OC to Fury X levels rather than just buying the Fury X.

I am looking forward to the node shrink. Water cooling might make more sense there when the power density goes up.

Out of stupidity, and nothing else...

If it had HDMI 2.0 and was priced around or near a 970 mini then I would retract my statement.

Out of courosity, watercooling have never been my poisen, using as much aleminium cooling fins, heatpipes, slow rpm fans that the space is in SFF cases has been mine, in order to get it as silent as possibel. And sometimes even underclocking, goal has always been that u shell not notice that the rig is on.

But if i want to go cf or sli, and make a GHTPC (dont think price)

Is it possibel to add watercooling , say in a case like this http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=161&area=en

With nano it would be 2*175w + 65w cpu
With the fury it would be 2*275w +65w cpu.

Goal = silent (shell not be heard in a distance of 2 m)

PS that is not SFF, but i recon i have to go to that size to get CF

I honestly thought you would show a picture of the Fury X.

I mean....who the fuck would pay for a waterblock on a Nano.....And spend more money when for the SAME PRICE you can get a Fury X which is watercooled.

/mind blown

If your answearing me, the answear is quite simple , since im not familiar with watercooling, but i do know a radiator have a limit how many watts it can cool, and i want i so quiet that you shell not hear it at all, 200w diffrence is a lot.

And well i do like that case, and was hoping some that know watercooling could answear.

But okey, its fun to figure out stuff, so am googling like there is no tomorrow.

Edit: And i do know if even silent fans goes over 1000 rpm, they are audibel, inside a good case, you can maybe get away with 1200rpm on real good fans, and the fury x is out of the question, becouse i then would need 3 AIOs, one for each fury x, and one for the cpu, that meens 3 pumps, min 3 fans, so no. If it can be done with 200 w more than the nano, then ofcourse the fury non x would be the choice. or even the 980ti, heavens knows.

The Nano might be the best binned chips. If that's the case then it's possible you'd get more performance out of it compared to a Fury X. While spending much more to do so.

I really wish it were cheaper.
This price is so stupid but I want it bad.
Hell I would go with 2 in CFX just for the cuteness.

AMD really really should have went with higher spec HDMI and DP, price is subjective always is, but lack of modern spec for modern usage is a let down big time.

I myself love the size of the Nano, so not at all pointless to me as is not much more power then my lil old 7870 and blows it out of the water, if it had more modern connectors, and a reduction in price would be even better.

As for the lad running that massive liquid and pipping it upstairs, hell yeh that is the way it is don, go big or dont play ^.^

Maximum in-spec pull of the Nano would be 225w. It doesn't have the additional 6 or 8 pin to pull 300w+. Not that this has stopped anyone from pulling over PCIE spec, but you'd likely run into a power wall before you could really push these higher binned chips.

My question: I plan on water-cooling and overclocking the Nano in a tiny case. What kind of performance can I expect while watercooling+overclocking the Nano compared to the Fury X especially since the Nano is a higher binned card?
There has been some misconception out there that the Nano is an uber binned part. Actually, both Nano and Fury X share the same ASIC configuration. What differs is the audience and form factor the products are targeted for. If you are interested in water cooling, aftermarket waterblocks are available for both the Nano and Fury X however the Nano is designed to be smaller and more power efficient with lower overall clocks and power delivery circuit. The Fury X is the card you want if you intend to push the Fiji ASIC to the absolute limit.

I too am in the same situation you are. Sticking with the R9-295x2 and R9-290x until the 14/16nm cards are released.
