Woot EMTEC SSD deals.

Thanks for posting, but you can regularly get Samsung drives in this zipcode, as well. I'd rather go that route than a no-name brand.

I picked up a few 250gb 850 EVOs for $82/ea at Jet, and have seen the 500gb hit ~$150 on SD a few times at different retailers. You can get a 500gb Crucial for $140 at Newegg right now... not quite as good as Samsung, but still a decent drive from a known manufacturer. :)

Bought an EMTEC 240GB SSD at MC - would crap out every few days, requiring a reboot to be recognized again. Done with that brand! (From what I understand, it's a partnership they have with MicroCenter, to provide them with crap products with high margins)

Yeah the EVOs are at this price point pretty much every other week lately... On top of it, Newegg seems to drizzle out 10% off Samsung drives coupons any time you purchase just about any other piece of hardware...

Then there's the Crucial on again off again deal that's been going on a few days... Kinda hard to beat an M500 480GB for $100. I doubt we'll see any drives that cheap by year's end unless Crucial still has more refurbs to clear out.

Edit: Speaking of, if you're subscribed to Newegg's emails today's blast includes a code that brings the 500GB 850 EVO down to $160, good for like 3 days.
