how did they even find enough to eat and survive long enough to molt and grow bigger in there?
They just eat one another?
That's horrifying.... how does that even happen?
wonder what kind of bugs those were....was hard to tell with the video quality.
looked like they might be bedbugs to me. those things can move fast when they want to and that would be a very good hiding spot for them if the laptop was kept in the bedroom.
I've seen huge American cockroaches outside on sidewalks in the early morning. Those things are disgusting.Although I've never lived in a place that has had cockroaches... EVER, so maybe there's something to say about being ignorant of them.
One day I wondered why my basement computers started having flakey wireless. Picked up the wireless router that was on the cement floor, and realized it had been colonized by ants. They were everywhere. Nice and warm for them. The vacuum cleaner fed well that day.
It now sits in a bowl that sits inside a water-filled pie plate.
I used to see that kind of crap all the time when I worked in shops doing hardware repairs. There were only a couple of seriously horrendous cases a month, but it happened more frequently than I'd have liked.
I've seen all kinds of weird shit working on computers and printers. I once saw an Epson printer that has a paper clip covered in what appeared to be ear wax caught in the mechanism. I saw an Mac that probably had 10x as many insects and insect parts in it as that laptop in the video.
I was repairing a laptop (15.6" full size one) on my lap because the bench was full, and lifted the mainboard out and the same damn thing happened... only they crawled out onto my pants and my chair.
I had trouble eating for a few hours. The musky, dusty smell is what topped the whole experience...
Not the creepy crawlies near your junk?
That would have made me run out the house and start a fire.
Dealt with that a few times. Started taking a trash bag, spraying it with Raid and putting the laptop in. Then leaving it outside overnight. No more roaches.

i used to work at a pawnshop in NYC, and we would buy electronic equipment . and the moment we smelled the roach shit smell handed that shit right back to them with a whole lotta nope nope..
then they would deposit said item on the street out front of the building and next joker would bring it in acting as if it was his. after 2-3rd time i'd go out with a hammer and whack it a few times to reduce its resale value
LoL.. Never lived in a run down apartment or tenement that has a cock roach problem, have we?
I can see it happening.
On a related note not involving cock roaches or computers I can relate a bug story.
I worked at a Ford dealership up in Livingston TX back in the 90's .
Some of the cars on the lot would end up in a back lot grass field, for excess storage inventory.
I had to go out and find out why one of them wouldn't start after a salesman had gone
to retrieve it.
Long story short. Diagnosed no fuel pump activation.
Reason. Fuel pump relay under the hood was not closing contacts.
Reason for that, the plastic enclosure was packed solid with red fire ants. I mean
SOLID.
For some reason they are attracted to ozone, is the theory. It happens with
telephone wire boxes too, etc.
I guess the lesson here is. Don't park cars out in fields or leave laptop on table
in a cock roach infested apartment. Bring a can of RAID.
That's horrifying.... how does that even happen?
Wow. They value their items so little they just abandon them? Or maybe they're all stolen?
Spiders are needed here. The classic debugging tool. I often find spiders or webs inside client computers. Especially those on the floor.Gotta say, not as grossed out as I would be if they were spiders instead... although that'd be more squeamish.

Funny how often there is a pile of Woodlice shells sitting at the bottom of the case where the spider has been feasting. Which shows the spider is actually protecting the client's computer.
I love spiders. I put them to work in my house. Their job is to remove the woodlice as they enter the house. If you look under the bath it is like Cambodia's Killing Fields under there with all the woodlice carcases!I definitely get little spiders in my PCs. There's really no way you're going to keep spiders out of your house, unless you constantly spray. I figure as long as they're not too big, live and let live
