So as in my previous thread (thanks to everyone for the help), I'm going to do RAID 0 with 2x 4tb drives and use goodsync or an alternative to backup those up. The reason being is that I'd prefer to have a physical backup units not connected to my pc in case anything happens.
I have a gigabyte ud5 x79 mobo and was wondering if there were an detrimental reason why I should not use the Marvell 88SE9172 controller for raid 0? Since I only have 2x intel sata3, I'll be using those for my two ssds.
Is there a difference between sata3 and sata2 for raid0 with HDDs?
Thanks!
