I want the numpad.
I don't want any media functions. If they come on the keyboard, they must be able to be disabled.
I need the Windows key.
I want arrow keys and Ins/Home/PgUp/Del/End/PgDn in the standard location.
ANSI preferred, ISO OK.
I want HEAVY. Steel base self defense heavy. Strong preference for something over 4lbs, but I've not found anything that heavy yet.
USB AND Bluetooth preferred. USB mandatory.
No hub required, but welcome if it comes with it.
I'd like lights for Caps lock, num lock, etc. Preferably on the keys.
Backlit. Preferably white. Not really required, but strongly desired.
Browns preferred. Blues second choice.
Of a high enough quality that I can expect decades of use out of it.
That whole "Full N-key rollover" thing that lets me hit half a dozen keys simultaneously without the keyboard freaking out.
Detachable USB cable.
I do NOT want a wide surround on the keyboard. No handrest, no long plastic extensions on top of the keyboard, nothing. I want it to end within half an inch of the keys.

Except, you know, with the numpad and all that.

So, does what I want exist? A HEAVY slim mechanical keyboard with no fancy bits?

edit: I found a pic of the kind of keyboard I want. THIS:

Except with plain ol' black keycaps. And a heck of a lot heavier than the 2.6lbs this one is.

edit2: I just found out about front-printed keycaps. Anyone make laser-etched front-printed solid black keycaps that allow the LED from backlighting to come through the front-printed letters?

I don't have a recommendation, but I'd also really like to find this ultimate keyboard.

I have this keyboard at home

It is the first mechanical board I've owned in years. I was looking for a slim, standard layout, with no bullshit buttons. It has some media controls you can use via the Fn key, but I never use those. It doesn't have USB or Bluetooth though. I never use bluetooth, but USB would be nice.

That said I weighed it just to see how much it was, because it feels like it could take a bullet and not put a dent in it. I swear it feels like it's a good 8-10 pounds, a few of my friends were shocked when I had them to pick it up. However my kitchen scale only weighed it in at 2.6 pounds. So I must be a horrible judge of light weights :D that said, I couldn't imagine a keyboard any heavier than this one.

If you do find that dream keyboard, I wanna know what it is, cause I would be in for one too.

3.3lbs is one of the heavier ones. I don't like that lip on the bottom of the keyboard, but I could put up with it. It's not bluetooth, the cable isn't detachable, and the backlight's the wrong color. I could probably put up with a lot of that, but not for the price they're asking. I'll keep looking.

This Rosewill 9000 is about as close as you can get to that Filco.
That looks to be much closer. 3.45lbs is nice and heavy. No backlight, no bluetooth, but it's got the detachable cable, the right shape, and the price is pretty good. So far, it's winning in my mind. I've had some poor luck with Rosewill products in the past. Is this keyboard's quality up to snuff?

Buckling Spring Awesomeness!
As much as I love me some buckling spring, that doesn't really meet any of my requirements except for weight. That's a HUGE keyboard surround.

Rosewill's mech boards are good quality. Some even claim the 9000 is a rebranded Filco. No idea if that's true.

Bought the Rosewill KB. Didn't feel like paying $20 extra for browns, so I got the blues. Should be here in a few days!

Corsair K70 RGB.....heavy all metal construction. I previously had the Logitech G15, new model, and switched to the cherry MX red keys on the K70. This thing is absolutely amazing.
