This is a match made in heaven. I wonder how long it will be before they are sold at Walmart?

The Apple Watch will be available at stores of Best Buy Co Inc., the largest U.S. consumer electronics chain, starting August 7. The Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport models will be sold at more than 300 Best Buy stores in time for the holiday shopping season, a spokeswoman for Apple Inc said.

I hate going to best buy anymore. Feels like a car dealership. You get approached 20 times looking at a game or movie. If they approach you looking at any kind of pc hardware and you ask a question they never know the answer anyways. Plus it really is just a mobile device store anymore. Appliances are in the back, movies and games are in the corner, and audio stuff is behind the tvs and you cant sample the sound anymore (some do have an audio room still).

Am I missing something here? Why wouldn't it be sold at Best Buy? Is BB only for plebs and not up to an Apple users standards?

Coming soon to Target/Walmart/Big Lots/etc. Anywhere they can unload, I mean sell them.

Wonder if they will give special training for the super easy to use devices like they do at the Apple Store.

My understanding of the initial situation was Apple only planned to sell it in their own stores because of the whole experience, at least it was the case in the UK. I suspect it'll change as sales slow and supply increases.

And when sales falter at Best Buy, they'll be selling them out of suitcases in the alleys at 10 cents on the dollar.

Apple Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri told Reuters earlier this month that sales of the Apple Watch had beat the company's expectations.

So much Butt[H]urt about Apple on here.

It is so clear that most on this forum have no idea what the real world is like.

As opposed to living in the hipster world where spending $400 (or a lot more) for a watch that only works with your expense phone to show how "in" you are is no big deal?

No. In the real world people have other real world things to spend their limited money on, like food, housing, and big screen TV's :)

Its cute that you think the reason people buy apple products is to be "hip".

Nobody gives a shit, except for you which makes YOU the hipster.

Again, spend sometime in the real world around real people. If someone wants a product they go buy it, but what is a farce is that they walk around trying to be "hip".

HAHAHAHA...wow someone is drinking the KoolAid.

Tell me, what's so 'essential' and 'amazing' about the Crapple watch, which do not forget is atleast 3-4 times as much as other smart watches?

I have a good sortment of apple products and enjoy them. I really wanted to like the watch but when it could only do what my iphone can do but a smaller screen and needs an extra hand to operate, I couldn't find any value to it myself. Having to charge it everyday is rough too. Now the new pebble on the other hand....

Neckbeards gonna neckbeard, we all know this by now. ;)

You really have no clue about me, as I'm about as far from a hipster as you can get.

Only one person in my office (and this includes quite a few iPhone users) went out and bought an Apple watch. This person always has to have the latest Apple products, which he brings into the office to show off. While I wouldn't classify anyone I currently work with as a typical hipster, if I had point my finger at someone in the office, he would be one of the top choices.

If it doesn't sell at the Apple store where customers prefer to go why it would make it difference at Best Buy? If anything, Apple phone kiosk at Best Buy has been relegated to the end of an isle so it's tiny.

Will they be sold inside the store, or out of a van in the parking lot?

Last few times I have been in Best Buy (all within the last year), seems like there are few employees there. Some departments have people, the departments where they need to up sell to make a profit (computers, mobile phones). The store is pretty empty otherwise.
