DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

No because the plastic shield will cover the fan. But if you cut the shield, or made one yourself out of an plastic folder or the gpu has an backplate (unscrew the shield) you can mount the radiator on the PSU. But you will lose the warrenty on the psu and you need to control the fan over the motherboard or gpu. But I think the brands will release also cards with classic top blow or radial cooler.
 
The case looks great dondan! I patiently await the arrival of it. Keep up the great work! I'm happy for you.
 
Card looks short enough that radiator attached next to the card (at the bottom of the card) would still fit in the case.

With something like that the tubing would be a *very* tight fit. Though there are so many fake "leaks" like this one on sites like ChipHell it usually isn't worth a second thought.

Delta and ADDA off the top of my head. I don't think these brands are popular on here but they are very high quality outside the gaming world. I only have experience with the Delta and they are somewhat noisy for my taste.
 
I can whistle-blow that a top blow gpu is arround 2°C less ifficent as a radial fan GPU, but the total cooling performance is better and it is also more quiet under load.

that is an amazingly small difference!!! if the case really is cooler and quieter with a top-down GPU, then this is excellent news. then we just need a quiet PSU ;)
 
Just wanted to post saying that this is the most gorgeous case I've ever seen. I wish I still built PCs rather than Macs so that I could buy one.

Honestly, it's to the point now that if you're patient and are willing to wait a couple of days for reports on updates to trickle through, it's a viable choice.
 
This has probably already been answered before, but are you using the 3M riser or the Li-heat riser for the final build? Also, can't wait to see the summarized temperature results of various test setups. :)

The moddiy 30cm riser for $30 also works but you cant skrew it. Maybe I will offer a cheaper version without a riser and ine with 3M.

I received a bunch of 92x92x25 fans that I've been wanting to test yesterday but I ran out of female fan terminals. As of right now I have various Deltas, San Ace, Noctua, Gentle Typhoon and few sleeve bearing fans.

Anyone have suggestions?

Dan actually tested the LiHeat risers and was not fond of their bend radius and overall quality, IIRC.

After all that didn't he mention he tried another one that was cheaper, shielded and had a good bend radius? Don't remember the exact details and IIRC he was being kind of cryptic about it - or is that the moddiy one that can't be screwed in?

The 3M one was very expensive, so I understand why he chose to use something different.

I would love that option.

No matter if it includes the riser or not, I'll be purchasing, but I'd prefer a version without the riser as I have one at home already... :p

I'd personally rather pay for the premium option from the get go instead of having to deal with any problems that might rise later in the future with a cheaper version.

That may be problematic with large cards and the bigger aftermarket coolers some cards have.

So there won't be any messy cable management, the card just wouldn't sit as firm. I think there would be ways around that, though.

If the question is in regards to the riser, they use two normal riser cards, so no ribbon cable in between and no shielding, which is of course a lot cheaper.

It's fully modular and corsair alrdy got some fine silent psus. Looks like this psu and new 700w platinum one from silverstone are the best candidates for silent A4 build.

those parts are way too bulky
 
I'm just anxious to see the results of the multiple heatsinks and their respective performance. I'm assuming that D has been super busy.
 
The test are finished but I need some time to made the graphs and write the texts.

Compare rad size to mobo, there's no room for it in A4.

Yes they will release it seperately, but as OverZerg said, it would never ever fit in the A4. If you made an APU build, you could probably mod the case to have the rad sit where the GPU is right now, but even that may be stretching it a bit too far. And you'd of course have to undo the loop on the cooler.
