Grand Theft Auto V

No issues with connectioning online or playing on here...
Thats since release. I am getting crashes every so often in heists but thats it.

I was getting random ctd during some missions and finally narrowed the cause down to the bug where if you use any throwables and then try to fire from a vehicle it would crash. Could that be your problem with heists?

I still can't get over how fucking retarded the matchmaking is

Play GTA Online on a server
Try to join a job, disconnect from current server to connect to the job
Job is full, refinding a new server
Server search timeout, returning the GTA single player

WTF

The dev that created this should have his balls cut so his dumbness isnt reproduced

Not to mention we cant even buy the damn monster trucks or the duke o death either online..

Some of those might be returning player bonuses.
I own the monster truck, however it's a Pegasus vehicle. I have to call and have it delivered.

Read the comments by the OP as he explains it far better than the overly simple graph.
I'm curious who is handling their auth servers now (no Xbox Live or PSN). Who is their "middle man" between the players?
R* finally had to pony up the cash and pay for their own shitty server.

Hoping someone knows the answer to this. The game was running perfectly with zero crashes since the game launched on my GTX 780. I just upgraded to a Titan X, reinstalled my graphics drivers, and the game crashes all the time when changing between missions on GTA Online. It only crashes during the change mission screen and never anywhere else. The game also fails to make it past the loading screen after the crashes even in safe mode so I have to hard reset my computer in order for GTA to load up again. Any ideas?

check the event viewer in windows when you crash in gta. are you getting the nvidia driver has crashed and has recovered event? I have a 970 gtx and also experience those crashes during loading screens. I suspect that I have a faulty card

I have a Seasonic 850W PSU which I think should be enough for a Titan X and the rest of my setup is modest enough.

I'll look for this the next time it crashes again. Probably won't have time to play the next two days but I'll post back with the results when I do.

I haven't been able to play single player since yesterday. Error connecting to rockstar services. Everything else works fine, Steam, Netflix etc..

Opened a ticket with them...no issues since launch...grr...

Got single player to load by launching GTA online and then had it bomb out, selected offline mode and was taken back to single player.. Annoying, but at least I could play.

And yet again I had the issue. After doing some reading, basically Social Club gets "stuck" in Offline mode somehow.. To "unstick" it I disconnected from my router and tethered to my phone and holy heck it worked! I then switched back to my router and everything worked properly.

What a bunch of non-sense...

User was given money by hackers in GTAO (cash minigun), receives ban until May 16th.
He contacts R* Support about this. Support openly admits that the ban was falsely flagged, but he's screwed anyway:

Obviously he can't prove whether he actually hacked or not, but it's very telling that R* support is basically just saying "You look like a cheater, so you're banned, sucks for you."

Frankly, I'm happy with R* taking a zero-tolerance policy with cheaters, even with innocent people being caught in the crossfire. I'm sick to death of online games being ruined by them. At least it wasn't a permaban.

Well if you believe the rumors, then people are being banned for using mods in single player and, in this guy's case, being shot with a cash minigun while playing GTAO. That kind of stuff is totally out of the player's control.

I spent a full day duping and selling cars to make $20 million, I also abused a glitch to get all my car upgrades without doing races, and another glitch to recustomize my character... And my account is fine.
So Rockstar's sense of "justice" is a bit misguided.

Let's just arrest random people in the meantime to deter crime then.

You would sing an entirely different tune if you were one of the innocent crossfire victims.

Rockstar has made a statement about mods:

http://www.rockstargames.com/newswi...=askedandanswered&utm_campaign=asked_05072015

We have always appreciated the creative efforts of the PC modding community and we still fondly remember the awesome zombie invasion mod and original GTA map mod for GTAIV PC among many other classics. To be clear, the modding policy in our license has not changed and is the same as for GTAIV. Recent updates to GTAV PC had an unintended effect of making unplayable certain single player modifications. This was not intentional, no one has been banned for using single player modifications, and you should not worry about being banned or being relegated to the cheater pool just for using single player PC mods. Our primary focus is on protecting GTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing. It also bears mentioning that because game mods are by definition unauthorized, they may be broken by technical updates, cause instability, or affect your game in other unforeseen ways.

That's a slippery slope argument, so I won't address your first point.

However, I'm sure I would be incredulous if the same thing happened to me in GTA V. Who wouldn't be? But I'm not going to get the pitchfork and start jumping on the bandwagon while lighting more fires at Reddit. If it were a permaban, then I would be a little more vocal.

"It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer".
Said no realist ever, since ten guilty murderers and rapists will likely cause more than one innocent to suffer, making it the greater evil with the most total loss/harm.

if you think Blackstone is bad Benjamin Franklin upped the 10 to 100.

Well there's something to be proud of.

In any case you're making an assumption that R* is aware of every kiddie glitch and exploit and is arbitrarily choosing to ignore it. I'm sure they'll get around to dealing with cheaters and glitchers using exploits inside the game after they've fixed the bleeding in dealing with the people trying to modify the game and memory outside of it. And no doubt you'll be here crying about it.

Hah, yeah, because GTAO in general is something to be proud of.
Go work on your car unlocks and tell me it's not the dumbest thing you've seen in a game.

I spent 2 hours doing races today and nearly ALL OF THEM were people trying to win-trade OR abuse the 1vs1 Criminal trick.

And no doubt you'll be here crying about it.
Just so we're clear, the bugs I abused have existed for a year and a half.
The guides I followed were from January 2014.

GTAO is a mess. They won't touch my account or anyone else who abuses glitches because they are incompetent. They have a 2 year history proving it.

haha u will get perm ban, just wait for it u must be lost in the head doing that online, they updated that they dont care if u cheat solo but they have a team dedicated to make people like u vanish from online so rest of us can play normally... so have fun while it lasts

150 done.

I run it in the background while doing other stuff, but I rarely turn it off.
I'm playing GTAO right now.

Have you not turned it off since release?
I've been playing everyday since and I'm only level 60. I think it's only registered 2 days on my gametime.

I hit 120 last night, so i unlocked the mini gun and its just as good as i was expecting.

I'm level 40 and I only played for about 4-5 days after release. It's not that hard to get to a high level if you keep doing jobs instead of running around in free mode.

Maybe it's just me, but some of the most fun I have is swapping to Trevor and seeing where he's gotten himself to since the last time I swapped away from him.

One time without clothes except for his not-so-white briefs straddling a bridge railing, drunk as hell.

One time standing next to someone he gagged and tied to a post under the pier at the beach telling them "And thats why you should be nice to stangers!".

He's both scary funny and just plain scary at the same time. :D

I agree 100%! Not too long ago I loaded the game and it opened with him puking into a very beautiful fountain outside a winery in the hills. I LOL'd!

I only do Missions, free mode is stupid and a crapshoot. Invite only session everytime. I have acquired about 5 Million total already, but I'm holding 2 at the moment after making a few purchases.

I'd do more Heists if they weren't also a crapshoot.
If you get a bad team, all that time was wasted, especially since you gain nothing(or very little) from failed attempts. Could have done 4-5 missions by then and gotten more money... I need to join a crew or something.
