Thought I'd share, since I'll finally buy this now. Though I suspect most people here already have it, lol.

Far Cry 4 - 40% - $35.99

Man if you were waiting for that I hate to tell you, you could have picked it up very easily for $30 near release with all the GPUs and SSDs that came with vouchers for the game out in the wild. Not trying to pick on you. Just consider it next time! I think I paid $25 a wee bit after release, in FS/FT forum. Just stick around and post a bit!

Lol, oh no problems man. I think at the time they were giving it away too with some GPU promos.

Sadly though I didn't have anything to play it on at all back then. I had a dual core laptop that I ended up frying playing too much Far Cry 3 on it.

Now that I have something pretty decent built no one is offering anything for that game because it's "too old".

This may be the best I can do for a while.

Really want to pull the trigger on FC4, but I think I'm going to hold out for an even better deal on the Gold Edition. Even at $54 on sale, it still seems a little high based on a lot of player feedback that it doesn't really feel like a forward-stepping successor to FC3, but more of a rehash based in a different part of the world/scenario.

I liked it better than FC3 personally.

Thanks for the testimony. FC3 is, by far, my favorite first person shooter, so there's a lot for any sequels to live up to. :)

In fairness, I played FC4 first and then bought FC3 and beat that too. The interface is a little more intuitive and there are some time saving measures in the menus with crafting hotkeys and things like that. Very similar game. If you liked FC3, you will like FC4 also.

i did not enjoy my time with this game. It was very frustrating and very buggy.

visuals were good, controls were decent, but the saving system, checkpoints, and various bugs were just terrible. I liked FC3 much more.

Oh man, that's tempting, but I think I'll be holding out for it to hit around $20. I loved FC3, but at the moment I've got enough gaming backlogged that I'm ok with waiting a while longer.

FC4 still bugs the heck out on my 780 GTX SLI setup and RoG Swift. Like no matter what I tried, I got these flashing textures and crap that made the game almost unplayable. All the flashing made me think my RoG Swift was going dead like my first one, but none of my text was blurry and it only happened in that game. Then I looked it up online and found other people were having the same problem. Some dude posted some in-game settings you could mess with to fix it. So I did that, worked for a while, stopped playing it. Came back, game had an update. Okay, downloaded update. Their little patch broke everything hard. Now it flashed everywhere and none of the in-game settings did anything. At that point I just stopped playing. It's seriously bullcrap. The game itself was alright. Certainly looked great, and I loved FC3 so what wasn't there to like about this? Well technical difficulties aside. =_=;

However, there is one thing... just one thing... that I absolutely hated about the gameplay (flashing textures and Ubisuck's general inability to make playable games aside): Rhinos. RHINOOOOOOS!!!!!!! Like early game near one shot, yay! Only way to kill them easily is to grab a shotgun and then kite them around a tree or rock for about 1-2 minutes straight. They're so tanky you can empty (full to zero) the entire assault rifle... and nothing happens! I know because I've done it. Worse yet, their AI is totally random. I get killed by a Rhino... respawn... start helping out some random dudes. A Rhino just comes out of nowhere and rams me. Literally, like from behind. I'm down to no health and get finished off after one ram. Eventually this happened enough that I grabbed a shotgun and RPG (RPG shots don't yield skins, so I switched to shotty) and actively started running around killing rhinos. Screw the campaign, this was totally worth it. Although hard because they take several shotgun clips to kill.

Well </mini review>

Just be aware any of you SLI users may be going into a bug fest. I know I was.

Have you tried FC2? I loved that one. Played after FC3 actually and still loved it.

To be honest, you ARE missing out. Why don't you just not use SLI for the sake of enjoying what Far Cry 4 has to offer? :) It's worth it.
