What gaming video card lasted you the longest ?

I've enjoyed reading the threads about past video cards from names to your first.

I was curious what was everyone's "longest lasting gaming card".

Not as in still physically running but chokes on games , but what card lasted you the longest without upgrading where you were still quite happy with the performance and nothing came out that made your card seem woefully behind.

For me I think it would be a tie between my Voodoo 2 SLI setup (jumped on those when they first came out and was a good while before replaced) , and the Nvidia 8800gtx.
 
8800ultra SLI

but these unlocked 6950s are giving them a run for their money, I will say
 
My good'ol 5870 @ 1ghz, still going since it's release.
 
8800gts 512 by a long shot. still works awesome to this day just retired to a backup rig now
 
My GTX 470 that I am still using. I really need a new card but if the rumors of the GTX 960 are true I will be waiting another year I guess.
 
My GeForce 6800 Ultra AGP. When the industry moved to PCI-E there really wasn't an upgrade path for me without rebuilding my system, so I kept using it until I had the funds for a new system. I would lower the settings on an as-needed basis. It's since been retired.

Either my Geforce3 (couldn't afford to replace it), or my GTX 285.
My 9500 soft-mod lasted a bit too, before I replaced it with a 9800 Pro, which was a long-term card as well.

Lord, I've had so many, I don't honestly know...
 
I've been running a 8800GTS (G92) since they were launched. It was alright for anything I wanted to play up until I upgraded to a 1080p monitor (I'm behind the times), earlier this year. Now, not so much.

Curious to see what the longevity of the 970 I ordered a couple days ago will be. It's got the same price/performance buzz around it that the 8800 series did.
 
So far...my GTX 670. I bought it back in June 2012. Going to buy either a 970 or 980 soon.
 
I upgraded from a gtx 480 to a gtx 680 and just picked up a 980. I suppose my upgrade periods have been pretty consistent. I did use the 480 for almost a year into the 600 series' life cycle though.
 
Geforce 6800 AGP. Played alot of UT99 and UT2004. Oh man alot of life wasted on that. Lasted forever, til i got my current card 4870 which i've had since ummm 2009 i think. One day i'll be able to upgrade

8800GT, then GTX 280, GTX 480 and GTX 680 Someone do the math for me :p
 
ATI 5870, 5 years. still good, just not enough power to games now.
 
My HD 6850 went about three years before I started really really wanting a GPU upgrade.
 
I had a 6-10 month upgrade cycle until I got my GTX 680. I would like to upgrade for no other reason than "because", but Dota 2 and CS:GO don't need any more horsepower than this. When I end up getting a Swift I will upgrade.

Same here. Those two cards really earned their keep and were both gigantic leaps over their predecessors (quite litterally a 2x jump). We'll unfortunately never see the likes of a generational increase like this again.

my GTX 680 in 2012. Added another one for SLI in late 2012. I'm happy until maybe next year.
 
It is probably a tie between a 7950gt (fanless no less) and the 5850. Both of those lasted me 3+ years.
 
9700Pro lasted over 3 years as primary gaming card, 8800GTX almost 3 years, 7970 while not my primary gaming card is still being used for gaming on the HDTV, 3 years. The 7970 I see at least another year of use :) and just an awesome card that can still play new games at max at 1080p for the most part.

It is hard to say as I was changing about every year.
I think the ATI X1950 Pro AGP was the longest I used before upgrading to PCIe.

I'm just guessing on this but I think I have it down for the most part lol.. I'm going with 6970 as the longest card that I've had before jumping to 7950. To be honest though I still have the 9800GT and use it as a spare and actually played on it recently like Heroes of the Storm on medium settings lol.
 
Longest videocard I used was my MSI 560 GTX in early 2011. Lasted until July 2014 when I bought a new computer.

Great card, although it appeared to be dying in 2013 with artifacts, lockups and flickering colored lines.
I was afraid I would need to buy a new one but that card was a trooper. Problems suddenly disappeared after a week and aside from an occasional lockup/artifact, it worked as best as it could until I got a new system.
