Hello all,

Wanting to know if it possible to rest windows user password to a password i know or blank without logging into windows? Registry edit or delete SAM file?

Possible to reinstall windows with a retail copy of windows ( 7 or 8 or newer) and use an OEM product key?

There are several windows password cracking apps/cds out there. Just boot off the cd, it will search the hard drive for accounts and crack the password. Once you have the password, reboot into windows, login with the discovered password, and then change it to what you want.

Yes you can use a 'retail' CD with an OEM key, but you will most likely call to call to activate the system.

Any experience with a particular program?

Offline NT Password & Registry Editor:

fast and easy to use. Have to choose the option to -blank- out passwords rather than change them with Vista and up...otherwise it might not work. I've used it for years though and it's worked perfect.

Don't have to wait for something like OphCrack to search/crack the password either.
