Dell P2715Q / P2415Q (3840x2160p, IPS, sRGB)

Just ordered the P2715Q. Thanks, hodgempls, those two coupon codes worked like a charm. I can't get the 10% discover cashback as well, but 30% off is enough for me. It came out to $535.49 including tax with free 3-5 day shipping.

Unfortunately, the estimated ship date is 12/1 and delivery date 12/5.

I'll report back as soon as I receive it!

Oh man this seems like an amazing deal and will be perfect for programming, but I'm not sure if I'll enjoy turning things down in games. I did almost plunge on the U28590D several months ago but tested it first and I didn't like the colors or black levels.

Man, I'm so torn between the P2715Q and the U3415W 21:9. I'd love 21:9 for gaming, but it's almost 2.5x the price of the P2715Q.

UPDATE: I said screw it and ordered one. Worst case I send it back and get the U3415W, or sell it for at least what I paid for it. :) Too good of a deal to pass up. Thanks hodgempls!

I just placed an order for a pair of the P2715Q for my Mac Pro... no 20% off coupon in Canada, but I was able to negotiate a price of $699 CAD (or the same as the USD price).

ETA is Dec. 8th on my order.

Oh wow, that's only $1300 for a triple 4K setup. I wish my laptop had more displayport outputs.

That was my thought. If it sucks Dell pays return shipping charges. Finding a good monitor is tough - especially if you cannot try it before hand and have to pay return shipping. Got burned on a newegg deal a couple years back with return shipping

If your laptop supports Displayport 1.2 with MST, you might be able to chain at least 2 off of a single port. Can't say for sure with 4k monitors (maybe not enough bandwidth), but I know you can with the 21:9 3440x1440 ones.

Where did you order from in Canada if you don't mind me asking?

I started out by chatting with Dell customer support off the Dell.ca website and then I said I wanted a better corporate discount, they took my number and I got a call back from an account rep who did up a quote.

Great thanks.

I snagged one... 559 Shipped for this is great. I was going to pay that for the Acer/Asus TN panel, I just had not gotten around to ordering it. Dell has a pretty badass return policy and better warranties than most on Ultrasharp monitors... and I really prefer IPS.

Damn, I just decided to say screw it and order one for $504, but now it turns out that the second coupon doesn't work.

Wow this is the first time a 4K IPS monitor of an acceptable size and an acceptable price get released? Plus it look like a good one. Really makes me want to order one.

The only thing I wonder is, should we wait for one with HDMI 2.0 connectors (considering my GTX 970 have one)? Or is display port just as good?

Also Canadian price of $759.99...

You can get it for less in Canada... see my note above. However, we don't get the benefits of the coupons the Americans have. :(

But lets be honest... even at $799, it's a freakin steal!

As for HDMI 2.0... that's totally unnecessary. DP1.2 is what you need, and what most GPUs output these days anyway.

it seems one of the codes,CTCBFMG8$BF92F, didn't work...
It said it "require additional information or do not meet eligibility requirements"..
can anyone use this code now?
thx~~

The only real advantage of HDMI 2.0 versus DP 1.2 is the higher voltage of the signal which means you can use a thinner, cheaper cable if you plan on using long cable runs. For example I can successfully use a 25 foot 28 awg $10 HDMI cable and run 4K60 to my LG TV. But I needed to purchase a $160 24awg displayport cable if I wanted to do a 20 foot DP cable run to a 4K monitor because with a thinner cable you just get a black screen/no signal...only real difference is that I see.

The codes may not work if you go to Dell.com through another referral site. Also, from what I recall, the codes are for the Dell Small Business site.

Tempting, very tempting. That's less than the 2560x1440 U2715H.

I tried not going through a referral site, directly go from Dell.com, and go through the small business area. But still the code didn't work...

When you through the Small Business site, Dell may still default to the consumer cart at checkout (based on browser cookies). When you go to checkout, you should see a drop down picklist that allows you to select your Small Business cart. If all else fails, use a different browser or delete your cookies. I had to use my desktop to enter the coupons; for whatever reason, I could not enter the 20% off coupon on my iPad.

The 10% coupon no longer works with the monitor but the 20% does. You can still get a pretty good deal if you call Dell up and have a dell credit account. They will give you the 20% off plus, a 10% e-gift card and 2nd day shipping. You will need to call though.

Apparently the 10% coupon was never supposed to work with these monitors. My order hasn't been cancelled, so hopefully Dell is still going to honor it.

What is "gobs"?

TFT Central's review of the new U2415 has numbers for several recent models, including the U2414H and P2414H/P2714H and they're much improved over the 2413/2713. The U2415 (the 16:10 one) is a bit slower than the 16:9 panels, but still a sizeable improvement.

You can't use 1080 or 1200p panels as example of input lag.

There are tons of multi input 1080p displays with <8 ms input lag and yet all multi-input 1440p screens have 15-20ms

Well, all numbers asked was if multi-input monitors have gobs of input lag, with no mention of resolution or definition of "gobs", so...

Seriously thinking of ordering a P2715Q... unfortunately the coupon codes are both technically expired at this point. Anyone try calling and seeing if they'd apply a discount of some amount after that happened? I might give it a shot sometime today & see what they will offer me.

Also has anyone gotten their panels yet (or is the ship date it's showing now of early December what you guys all got)? I loved the image quality and 4k res. of the UP2414Q I had but the smaller screen size and MST annoyances got to me after awhile... I think a 27" SST screen such as this would be perfect.

I think everyone got the 12/1 ship date. Probably not released until then, but one can hope. ;)

I got the 12/1 date as well. Actually I ordered a Sony Z3 Compact which us also backordered till 12/1. So much waiting :(

My ship date is Dec. 5. Considering that the monitor was only officially announced a little over a week ago, it was surprising to see such an early pre-sale. I'm wondering whether Dell even has stock yet from their manufacturer.

Still, $503 (plus tax for me, but less 4.0% FW cashback, already reported to my account) for a 27" 4k 60Hz SST IPS monitor is a steal at this point. Even without any reviews yet, it's worth the risk given Dell's guarantees, warranties, and lenient return policy.

Yeah, I should report you to the authorities for stealing! :D (That's an insane price!)

I got a call yesterday from Dell customer service to confirm my shipping address (and ask whether it was a business or residence) and when I asked what they could tell me about the ship date, they paused (looked up something?) and said it would ship around the end of this week! I'm skeptical because my ship date says Dec. 8th. But perhaps their systems know something the end-user system does not? (BTW, I purchased through Dell Canada).

I didn't know they were updating this monitor cool =) Maybe they will get the bugs out kinda scared of running 4K due to frame Rates for most games and current GFX card technology.

FYI Dell small business did honor the 10% shop discover cash back even with both coupons - received my cash back e-mail yesterday for $50.40. I will also get the discover 5% online cash back as well. $75 off the the $504 purchase price!

I think I want to try gaming on a 4K before I buy a TN with 144hz and Gsync I mean 4k is cheaper right now then the ROG swift. I never even gamed on anything over 1080P which I thought was amazing in 2011.
