While the MPAA is busy reporting piracy-promoting websites to the government, everyone else is using this list to get all the free content they want. Leave it to the entertainment industry to shoot themselves in the foot any chance they get.

The MPAA has informed the U.S. Government about two dozen piracy-promoting websites it would like to be gone. The list includes major torrent sites The Pirate Bay and Kickass.to, file-hosting services such as Uploaded and Rapidgator, as well as Russia’s social network VK. The popular Popcorn Time application was also welcomed with a mention.

Can we please take a poll and see what percentage of internet users want Pirate Bay gone, vs. how many want the MPAA gone.

Dear US government we want you to remove these non-US sites from the internet.

Signed,
Someone who doesn't know how the internet worksPAA

Whoa. That's how that works.

Government, I want the MPAA/RIAA and associated BS sites taken off the internet. KTHXBYE.

Perhaps if we get 250K signatures we can get Obama to respond on what we can do to get rid of the MPAA. ;)

hah - idiots

All that money and time wasted, and even *if* they accomplish their goal and shut it down... 5 minutes later another site will pop up in a different country with a different name doing the same great thing.

I think it's all but been proven that TPB can't be removed.

A few I have not heard of in there thanks MPAA lol

I'll admit I use google DMCA responses that are listed to look for some sites that have been "removed" by their search algorithms "Oooh watch live NFL games streamed for free... sure!"

Money talks. The MPAA/RIAA has a lot of lobbyists backing politicians.
I'm surprised the DNS servers have not blocked some of these sites yet. They'll use the Patriot Act or similar to cover their tails.

MPAA has the logical thought process equivalent to north korea.

and did they really just post the list of websites -.-

I'd like to report the US Government to the US Government, to have have them removed.

Watch...for free? That's practically murder! You should be thrown in jail for life
