I hope so too, especially for mITX but I guess we'll see it go mainstream on the laptop front earlier.
My future mITX build will just be an M.2 SSD and all the disk storage is inside my NAS. I can live many TB's of data with 110MB/s read speed available over LAN and with 2-disk redundancy.
 
I'd be putting the box on a shelf, so no to the top of case I/O panel. Also +1 to andgo's concept of leaving 3.5" and optical drives in the past. Caseless SSD's that plug directly into a MB slot will become the standard soon enough. Nice case. I'd buy one if it comes in white; enamel or ceramic might be interesting, too, be willing to go $200 for such a case.

It's really clean looking, I like it!

I may be in the minority here, but I'd love the front I/O panel to be moved to the top of the case to give the front panel an even cleaner look.

I understand doing that may not be so simple though.

They should make the front panel modular with the top panel so people have the choice. They look to be the same width and length. Will just have a seam I guess. That's something that I don't think has been done. It could go on the front, be flipped, or the top and flipped. 4 different options.
 
Looks like a mashup of the Jonsbo UMX1 and MX2 cases.

I agree with every else prior, this case looks like it will get hot.
 
I don't agree this case will get hot, or hotter than any other decent mITX case. If the airflow is nicely balanced, it shouldn't pose a problem.

The top needs an exhausting fan, the rear needs an intake fan and the PSU will also act as an exhaust fan. This will take care of the CPU and motherboard area. The GPU is "seperating" the case into two zones just like with the Ncase M1, which means the optimal usage is a blower-style cooling so fresh air comes in from the bottom and exhausted out the back of the card. If using an open-style cooler, this would still work but all components would become warmer because the hot air can't escape anywhere but up (same issue with Ncase M1).
 
Many small mITX cases have solid front panels. It would be blocked by the PSU and storage anyway. Not worth it for ruining the front panel in my opinion.

Yeah, I do not like the vents on the front panel, and the top panel.
 
This case is beautiful. I really hope you guys pull this off. Although I'm more in the "as small as possible" part of the SFF camp, this design definently has a place here in my opinion.

Now, correct me if i'm wrong, but the "awesomest cooling capabilities in the world ever" doesn't seem to be within the scope of this case. It seems like you're rather going the route of "as few vents as we can get away with" for as clean a design as possible. And aesthetically it really works. If, and i am stressing IF, it turns out the airflow is not optimal, as long as it works i think a lot of people would be willing to sacrifice some overclocking capabilities for something this beautiful. The possibility of a window this big alone will be a big selling point i think.

Some of your renders has a big window in it. That is not very common in m-itx cases this small.
 
Indeed, because many mITX cases have their cooling designed with perforated sidepanels, while yours has the cooling done through the vents at the top and bottom. A plexiglass panel would be a unique selling point.
 
Definitely one of the best looking mITX cases I've seen. If anyone can test whether cooling is an issue or not, I'd pay up to $100 for this.
