Foam rollers are great. I personally use a rumble roller, not sure how effective this would be in comparison.

$45

I don't know how many of you guys are into fitness or foam rolling but this is a really good deal on this particular one. Thought I'd share.

Yes you can use PVC, Yes there are cheaper ones, No you don't NEED to foam roll

But considering they usually go for $60 or $70, and this has prime, its a pretty good deal.

Damn it! I missed the deal. Back to full price :c

I got this same 26" version for $60 a long while back. I wish there were a 17-20" version; 26" requires a lot of room to use. The 13" version should suffice for most people.

The Trigger Point version works well and is rigid. Alternatives are... a PVC pipe or just the high-density black foam-rollers, which many people prefer (replace every year or so due to distortion). I actually like the Trigger point roller, however.

Rumble Roller also works well, and digs into the muscle fascia deeper. It's not used in exactly the same way as traditional rollers (so I'd couple it with a high-density black foam roller). You'd have to check out some usage guides.

Reading a basic foam-rolling guide would be useful regardless.

To target tighter spots I have a few balls I use (tennis ball, small foam ball, lacrosse ball).

Considering my broken body, the amount of time I spend sitting, and the type of exercise I do (my body doesn't allow me to exercise often, but when I do, I can't shake the old violent power-athlete mentality I've developed), these tools are very helpful.

Magnesium and warm baths (including epsom salt = magnesium sulfate) help to loosen the musculature for more effective (and perhaps less painful) sessions.

Edit: Heh... Elliott Hulse...that guy is useful, and perhaps genuine, but all over the map. I still like him.

Edit 2: Price still shows $45 for me.

I personally find TP's products to be grossly overpriced. My roommate and friend are both physical therapists, and they just use typical high density foam rollers. I use an EVA foam roller myself and it works fine.

I got a J-Fit Foam Roller works great I tired another one which just plain sucked. I do a lot of Hard work at Walmart I need a new job and some new Managers who are sensitive and pregnant.

I... Couldn't we all use a sensitive pregnant manager?

Any feelings on going group buy on a rolling ball like this... The Balls ala amazon , they sell for 12 at a time, but you only need one. Excellent for specific targeted rolling.

Tennis balls, soft balls, and baseballs work pretty well for targeting as well.

Remember to "breath through your baaaalls" lol

On a serious note - I changed my whole posture (less Kyphotic) and walking gait because of this dude. I didn't think so much was wrong - or that so much change was possible
