Is it just me or does this sound a bit like Bungie is in panic mode?

We fully anticipate seeing day one reviews from folks who decide to kick the tires, but don’t have the time or patience to take our ride for a nice, long road trip. Some of you might wait to pick up a copy until you read the final verdict from your most trusted review house. We’re okay with that. We’ve created something we’re proud of.

*sits in chair whittling wood*

I do hereby declare that Bungie, well, he might be just a tad nervous, ya see them good old boys mean well, but things...things don't always work out right

Yes they sound nervous if you pull that snippet out of context, but overall after reading it, they seem rather excited (as most devs do on release eve). I played beta and loved it.

I loved the game, I only played till about level 5 but it was a experience. Got mine on pre-order and will be there at midnight for the launch. Haven't been this excited for a console game since Halo 2.

I fully agree with Bungie, someone will post a review early tomorrow and some people will listen. It seems like you would have to give it much more time than a day for a proper review.

Other than a week-long review camp there would be no other way to handle it.

First little bit of playing the beta, it was a pretty decent game. After meeting with other players and seeing the depth of the game - it got a lot better. So it can take some time after that initial limited time of playing to get a good idea of how it is. And, I only played the beta with whoever else was playing for a weekend. I'm awaiting this game. I didn't want to buy into the hype, and I didn't until I played the beta. I'm buying this one.

Probably on the Xbox 360, as you get a free upgrade to the Xbox One version (and keep the 360 version). So, 2 for 1.

I bought a PS4 for this game guess what I didn't like the Beta will they make their $500 Million back? Maybe? I think the developers don't know what makes a good game and it was produced by a bunch of Yes Men.

I think this game is going to be like the Conduit for the Wii lots of hype but it's still powered by the Wii.

I never was into Halo and the only reason I purchased the PS4 Destiny bundle was for the white PS4. As I read up on the game I have become very excited. I enjoyed Boderlands Series but disliked the fact your really couldn't design your own character. I just really hope it doesn't turn out to be the steaming pile of crap FF XIV was at launch in 2010.

Sounds nervous because it is out of context, I honestly don't believe they are.

I mean, I never liked Halo and yet I had a ton of fun with this game. While I still don't care for multiplayer console shooters, the single player is enough that I'll end up picking it up and enjoying it.

What did people honestly think Destiny would turn out to be? Good news though, Borderlands 2 will be on Linux. More good news, Destiny won't be on PC.

Played the beta, enjoyed it. Pre-ordered digitally for the Xbox One. Looking forward to playing.

Ill never understand the midnight release for games.. maybe im just getting old.

I do it to hang out with people at the event. My gamestop is usually really cool about it. They give out a bunch of shit like employee lanyards and old game displays. They also order pizza for everyone and sometimes for the really big events a Monster or Red Bull truck shows up.

I'm too old for all that as well. Plus, I've been playing PC games on Steam and GoG for too long on PC to want to go back to disk swapping again. Besides, both next consoles let you pre-load this one.

Lol its funny, you see PC trolls and those that never played it bashing the game. Yet from what I read on forums 95% of the people that played the beta really liked it ams preordered. The trolls and sheep grow stronger on this forum by the day.

Love my PC games, doesn't mean I cant enjoy my Xbox one as well.

Isn't it supposed to come to PC??

(pay up or get off my bridge!)
Last I heard any mention of a possible PC version was May 2013 IIRC. Maybe they're waiting to see how the console versions do, but I really think that Activision doesn't give a shit about PC.

the caveat is that it has to be a digital purchase.

I don't think it will see a pc release which is a huge shame. It deserves the pc treatment.

Yea, I saw that. Which makes me not so sure. With the Xbox One, I'm still going to have a long install and downloading of updates. But, I got Titanfall as digital only, and I'm not sure if I like it. Same game, but it just doesn't feel right. PC and Steam, I have no problem. But, with consoles, it feels wrong. I have hundreds of games from older systems. I just like that physical media with consoles.

I still want it, but I'm thinking it's a disc purchase... Not too sure, though. Because my kids want to play it with the 360....

I can't blame you. One one hand it's nice to have a digital copy and just have it there without swapping a disc. On the other, if you get sick of it and want to trade it in, you can't. Steam justifies the lack of a disc by a cheaper price.

I'm just hoping when I go to the midnight release that It will be smooth and problem free afterwards until i have to get some sleep for work the next day.

I'm confused how any of this is reliant on a midnight release.

Seriously, you own one of those and you it works good? Just found out about those today from another member here.

Ya it does, its got its quirks like you need to load a profile for each game. And you need a fps and vehicle profile to drive properly but that can be hot keyed for quick switching. I like it cause it works with my wireless mouse and keyboard and feels very close to PC gaming.

I'm going to wait on Destiny, while I did have fun playing it I have this feeling later on in the game it won't be any different then the beginning. If so, I'll wait to see if I can get it sub $40.

if it wasnt locked to 30fps id be all over this game, purposely gimping a game on a new gen system so it offers the same play experience accross all systems is un acceptable. this game should have been a pc title.
