Diablo 3 Discussion Thread

Im guessing the no kill bounties is to get rid of the power leveling. Bounty legendaries? Not meaning cache right? Just kills in adventure mode or kills on bounty target?
Bounty-specific legendaries means ONLY the cache.
T6 bounty cache is now 100% chance for legendary drop.

So if you have good gear and some fast friends, doing T6 split runs is a good way to get gear. Or at least a perfect RORG.

So on normal difficulty for bounties I only ever got one other guy in my party tonight. No idea why, but i assume the servers are messed up or something is going on.

What are you playing?
The community is split seasonal/non-seasonal now, including hardcore.
I've been doing various solo Torment runs because nobody is doing split runs anymore.

I tried to do some T1 public split runs but there were a ton of people just standing around doing nothing, so I had to solo as well. No legendary drops from the caches. I'm starting to put stock into the 'legendary time normalization theory', i.e. I play too much in a short time frame and the game is punishing me. Might take a day or two off and see what happens when I come back.

tried my crusader last night, first time since 2.1 went live.
Tried some act1 T3 bounties since it was flagged as something, bonus?
Any way ran 10 trying different gear and modding my build and 0 leg drops from mobs or rewards.
so 0x100% = 0 just like it always has.

Clan chat last night was stuffed with people finding Cache Legendaries, join the [H] clan if you aren't in one.

I got my first RRoG last night. It was probably the worst rolls I have ever seen, str for a WD, but I finally got one. Woot!

The Bounties are buffed in T6. It is almost guaranteed a bounty per a cache so start looting. If you are lacking a Rorg, now is the time to get it. I am probably gonna go run a few act 2 acts so i can get that boot of illusory.

the cache drops are not tied to the class you are playing they are just random, i have 2 rrog so far and both rolled terrible but i still use them as the set bonus > poor roll lol

It's the stupidest thing that's bugging me, but why do so many people call it a RRoG?

Between normal, PTR and seasonal toons, I have just over 1300 ACT1 bounties in various Torments with no RRoG yet. My son, who just breaks them down, has received about 15 or more with probably 1/10th the amount of bounties.../sigh

I was told that you have a higher chance of getting the RoRG if you don't loot any bodies or chests during the Act Bounty.
I did that for 3 bounties and finally got one after 1100+ bounty runs.
It may have been coincidence, but I did the same thing playing Seasons and got a pair of them in a just a few bounties.
it's hard to not loot the chests though cuz you never know what you might have gotten.

I get one about every dozen runs and I loot everything in sight. Every single one is a pos though.

Last night was a leg fest, ran 2 rifts and got 4 legs on first, second run got 2 legs and 2 set pieces. Went to Kadala and got a leg gambling 3 seperate times... :D

Gotcha. Nitpicking it. I just see the acronym and know exactly what someone is talking about. Don't think too much of it so I thought he was suggesting to call it by its full name.

People say "Royal Ring of Grandeur" on streams and whatnot all the time, so for some reason some people think that is the actual name.

So, with the AH gone, what is the point of all that gold? Is it simply leveling up gems? It seems you would hit the cap on those gems you would need fairly quickly, are people crafting that much?

Also, just got the legendary gem that bleeds on crit for 1,400% weapon damage over 3 seconds...seems pretty awesome, using that over boon of the hoarder.

Imperial gems cost 200K each, 3 of those will get you a Flawless Imperial gem for another 300K, so there's 900K spent just to get a single decent gem; plus there are two more levels that will set you back even more and you'll need to do that 7+ times to kit out one hero (helm1/armor3/pants2/weapon1). Add in HC mode and you can possibly lose all that gold/progress by dying...

Crafting can also get ultra-expensive too if you need to re-roll the same item, which certainly happens often. Some people re-roll the same item and find that the next roll will cost them 1M+...you'll need the gold.

Got it, haven't re-rolled that often yet! Got a RRoG for the first time the other day, decent roll. No socket however, had to re-roll to get 5% crit rate.

holy shit, that 6 piece bonus...

I was playing with a group the other night running rifts and one player had that 6 piece set and they were destroying everything. the three of us were just running behind him picking up all the loot.

Same for me! I ran 3 Rifts and got 9 legs IIRC, all from trash mob and environment. Nothing worth keeping, but built up my Souls inventory for rerolls. But Rift Guardians only gave me Trial keys... Conversely, Kadala was trolling me like usual .

I hate Kadala
ive spent a TON of shards on her trying to get T&T gloves for my WD.

once i started keeping track, i got a total of 32 St Andrews Gloves, about 15 magefist, and 24 Gladiator Gauntlets

I have the exact same problem. All I ever get are helltooths, gladiators, gages or the rare jade. Never a TT. I understand rarity is needed but come on, I've had to of spend 10k shards trying for them since ros came out. Even hoping for the odd frostburns.. nothing.

So, any particular builds geared around the legendary chestpiece that guarantees crits when you're under X% (20-25%) life?

Been trying to get a T&T for my WD, only one I ever got was from Kadala and was when I was using my 'sader. Add injury to insult it had really bad roll also.

I played through the game one time, single player and enjoyed it for the most part. There are a couple of things about the game, maybe three, that I didn't care for.

1. The art style. I never have cared for the direction the artists took with Diablo III. I played the whole game giving it a chance to grow on me, but it never did. That blocky cartoon World of Warcraft look doesn't do a thing for me.

2. The lack of truly open world environments to explore. Diablo II was much more open and fun to explore. The dungeons were corridor but the surface maps were open and expansive. Diablo III the whole game is mostly narrow with an open park to explore here and there along a predetermined path.

3. Because the game world is not very expansive or encouraging to exploration almost all the gameplay is focused on combat. I do think the combat has improved over D2, being more frantic and faster paced, but that alone isn't enough to keep me hooked. If it wasn't for the entertaining exchanges and quips between NPCs I would have enjoyed my time fighting baddies far less.

So I didn't dislike the game, but those criticisms held me back from truly embracing it. I didn't like it enough to buy the expansion, or play it through more than one time. On the other hand I didn't dislike it so much that I would never consider playing it again. I might pick up the expansion at some point.

So I did some mathcraft. Gogok of Swiftness gem is garbage.

Here's why: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/14277267653#1

EDIT: TL;DR - unless the gem gets changed to have rank 25 unlock permanent 15% cool down reduction, you will not notice much of a change during gameplay of actually reducing cooldowns because you spend more time losing stacks and building them back up, than actually benefiting from the cooldown reduction when you have stacks.

I'm 302 on the solo crusader leaderboards for right now. lol. Just beat greater rift 33.
