CC:A crowdfunded, better and more beautiful Mini-ITX Case named CC.

Hi, I am seeking, and interest in design . PCs are importent for us, and we are not satisfied with the existing

product. So we decided to design a better, easy-to-use and beautiful small Mini-ITX case which is suitable for

most people, not just hardware fan. We temporarily give it a name:CC.

Almost one and a half years were spent in systematically searching, designing, rejecting and researching until the

current version was worked out. But,what kind of case are needed? What kind of design is reasonable? Simple and

elegant? Just a look at it.

I'm noticing a lack of intake fans, or rather an intake fan with a hard drive on top of it. How much space would there be between the PSU and the GPU board?

Thank you for your question. Intake fan can be installed beside hard drive, and 2 fans can be installed without hard drive on bottom, but it is unnecessary up to our preliminary analysis.
The space is above 20mm, which is enough for cable.

I probably made ​​a mistake that our design does not belong to a Small Form Factor Systems. It have a volume of 20.1L. Right?

20.1 is close enough - as long as it's not like the Prodigy or 250D or CaseLabs S3 :)
 
I have to ask, what is the thing with no op. drive bays?? It seems to be a thing with some cases.

I have been building a custom case for my personal build and this closely matches what I am aiming for. These are very nice renders.

I see it has enough length to accommodate extra long graphics cards. So would it be possible to expand radiator support to 240mm? That would be also if there is the option to use a SFF power supply instead of regular ATX.

YES,a SFF power supply can be installed. But 240mm radiator can not be supported when a regular ATX power is installed. Sorry. If a SFF power supply be installed, 240mm radiator will support to 240mm.

You don't seem to have much - if any - room for cables there: you might consider a SFX PSU rather than an ATX one.

You should have 2x USB 2.0 ports on the front (as well as the 2x USB 3.0).

Is there a real need for a 3.5" bay? You could free up a little space there. I agree that there's no need for an ODD.

Customed cable is required, and a SFX PSU can be installed.
There is a small space in front part of case thich is just enough for 2x USB ports ,sorry.
YEAH, I think so too, there is not need a 3.5" bay. And harddrive in top and bottom do not need to be installed.

What's wrong with the airflow? For the GPU, you'd want one with a blower fan so the air comes in the bottom and out the back. For the CPU and PSU the air comes in the back and out the top. You'll want a CPU cooler with an AIO radiator.

OK. As you say, the air from the bottom can not only be supplyed to GPU, also to CPU

As for PSU and CPU rad, there is only one 80/92mm "intake" fan in the back, are you sure it can supply enough air to the 120 rad for CPU and 120 PSU fan? Not to mention the air will pass the hot components inside the case first

If they change the placement of the PSU, put it against the front panel, add intake to the front. Then make the 120mm fan on top as intake and 80/92mm back fan as exaust, it will be a much better design. Yet for a 20L case, it really doesnt have much to offer

WOW, HDD dimentions is 146X100X26mm, the dimentions of this case is 338X338X176.
Did you see the size difference of 100mm and 176mm. So for PSU and CPU,intake air can is from bottom. We have tested the thermal performance of this case ,it is ok.
BTW, you can move the HDD at the bottom .

Yes, we will suplly formal test results using prototype. Do not you see any difirence at our design? OK, I tell you partly the difirence:aesthetic design is difirent and there are not vents at the top and front plate . we don't like this vents. And our design may be not for you. Sorry.Thank you for reply.

BTW, do the SG08 suport a radiators, a 180mm PSU , 3X3.5HDD and 145mm tall cpu cooler????:confused: And I don't realy like the vents on the top.

Also, a big ATX PSU like that is more than capable of dealing with this situation. It is easy because there's an intake fan pointing right at it!

For GPU cooling, if you want to have decent air flow to the GPU, you can't mount HDDs at the bottom of the case, so 2 SSDs and 1 HHD is all you got for such large case at 20L.

The 80/92mm intake fan on the rear will need to provide air for BOTH the PSU and 120mm CPU rad, I don't see how is that possible. Sure that are other vents in the rear, but this setup can not provide positive pressure inside the chassis

There is not problem. We will supply the test data. The test fact tell everything.

btw, another HDD can be installed in the TOP of case . did you see that? And dor a blow 250w GPU, HDD at the bottom isn't need to moved.

When can we expect your data?

I don't see where you can mount another HDD at the top of the case, can you show me?

I'm asking when can you provide because you mentioned several times that your prototype shows good results.

As for top HDD, do you mean you can mount the HDD on top of the CPU rad or FAN?! If thats your setup, I have nothing more to comment.

Please be patient. We will supply test data before it come into the market.
For a top HDD,the cpu rad must be moved. but a fan can be installed. ok ?
If you are not satisfied with this design, i'm sorry, OK,our design is not good for you.
Our design is not the pursuit of the ultimate thermal performance
I hope you can continue to pay attention to and look forward to our design.

BTW, is so importent a 3.5" bay?

No, 3,5" drives are not important for an SFF case because they belong in a NAS. If you really need more than (multiples of) 2TB that a single 2,5" drive can provide, you are in need of a redundant storage solution anyway or you'll someday be faced with the experience of many TB's lost due to a single failed drive.

Don't take it personal when someone doesn't like your design, every single custom case topic has a few people trying to completely change the case because it doesn't fit their hardware.

It's really clean looking, I like it!

I may be in the minority here, but I'd love the front I/O panel to be moved to the top of the case to give the front panel an even cleaner look.

I understand doing that may not be so simple though.
 
I'd be putting the box on a shelf, so no to the top of case I/O panel. Also +1 to andgo's concept of leaving 3.5" and optical drives in the past. Caseless SSD's that plug directly into a MB slot will become the standard soon enough. Nice case. I'd buy one if it comes in white; enamel or ceramic might be interesting, too, be willing to go $200 for such a case.
