The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse costs around $3 million USD so you should expect that delivery would be more than signing a handful of docs and driving off the lot. Someone captured the delivery process in a video so you know what you could expect when you take delivery of yours.

With 1,200 horsepower, a top-speed of 255 mph, and a 0-60 time of less than 2.6 seconds, the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse is fantastic machine, and Bugatti and its dealers do everything they can to keep it that way en route from the factory to the owner’s garage.

In order to enjoy it, wouldnt you need to have your own track?
I am not sure many places where you can go over 200 mph, although I may be wrong. :(

Why would anyone buy an ugly ass Bugatti when you could buy a Ferrari with that kind of money?

Who is Terry?

What? that car is a beauty, imo off course but to answer your general question, anyone with enough money to buy Bugatti has enough money to buy a Ferrari. I'd wager who bought that car probably already has a couple in his garage.

Considering the effort Mazda and the dealer took to ship my $20,000 Mazda 3 from Japan and deliver it to me I wouldn't expect any less for a $300,000 car. It's really the least they could do. Even normal vehicles are totally wrapped up and secured in the shipping containers and inspected at the dealership, and when you pick it up they polish it up and make sure it's running properly before you pick it up. A Veyron damn well should come with home delivery and quality assurance.

As much as I like cars, $300,000 is just too much. Even if I was a billionaire I couldn't bring myself to spend that on a car.

$300,000? Try $1,500,000+...

Yup, Verron is a very cool and ridiculously expensive car. But if I was in market for a sports car, I`d rather buy Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12 and pocket the difference. The ground clearance in some of those groundhuggers is just too little.

Pocket the difference and do what with it? Add to your other 10 billion? Just buy both, like most Veyron owners would.

A car with more than 1000 horse power without nitro? Nope. USD$300,000 won't cut it.

Whoever decided on that red and black paintjob in the video deserves a good beating.

What a bunch of jealous haters in here lol..

Is the paint job perfect? No, but at least someone actually decided to do something "Different" than the usual rich guy toy and take a factory job or do something even more tacky and gold plate it. I don't particularly like what they did personally, but I can at least appreciate that the new owner cared enough to want something non cookie cutter.

He's likely to have reasons other than personal taste at that. People buying these cars do know of how they typically are (not) used...

Shiny toys for very rich boys.

Sure hope whoever owns this car knows how to drive it. Not much forgiveness in the handling of these supercars.

Somewhere around 1000hp is lost thought heat alone...

No one can beat the quad turbo...

I remember when my Mom bought her 1972 Chevy Vega.. $2000 new.. I believe the only option was the 2-speed turbo glide!! Didn't even have a clock!! Started rusting the next day!!

That experience was about the complete, totally 180 degree, Bizarro world, polar opposite of this!!

It's always fun to read the average internet poor person comment on some rich person purchase.
'Well he could have saved money if...'

There are many places you can do 200MPH, a few just here in Texas. However on a track top speed is not very useful. But most euro super cars have a fascination with top speed, and it's good for marketing. Acceleration, braking and handling matter far more, I will have far more fun in a lower geared car with 900HP less weight but limited to 150MPH, than a 1200HP car that can do 255MPH.

Don't get me wrong, they are awesome cars, but all else being equal, it would not be my first pick for sure.

I didnt check the laws to see if it was possible. My bad!

The kid was 18 years old; I honestly think that maybe less than 1% of 18 year olds are experienced enough to truly handle a car like that to its full potential like he was attempting to.

Very few people who own those kind of cars know how to drive them, having money does not make you a good driver. There are a few who when getting cars like this will take some lessons, but those are few and are the ones who plan on tracking it at some point.

Case in point:

@0:44 is the best.

Bugatti requires you to go through their driver training before they will even sell you the car.

Tracks don't have "laws" but rules, and most don't have caps on how fast you can go, only that you can only go so fast with such and such safety devices. Like most drag strips are fine with a normal car without a roll cage or extra safety devices, however do a sub 12 second pass at most and they will pull you to the side and tell you to slow it down or put in a roll bar. So at most places, as long as you meet class requirements and are not an obvious danger, they are fine.

I myself would rather a Miata with a NRE twin turbo 454 LSX.

I meant roads not tracks.

No normal roads, at least here in the states, but then again, most cars sold today you can not top out without getting jail time, even most "family" cars.
