What are you nerds playing this weekend?

The Wolf Among Us, Little Big Planet, possibly Castle Crashers, and hopefully some Forza!

That you mentioned you were playing it with your kids just brought back some great memories for me. My family wasn't making NES money back in the '80s, but we did have the SMS with a bunch of great games. My mom and I would sit down and play Ghostbusters on the SMS a lot when I came home from school. And as it turns out, the SMS version was superior to the NES version ;). I still have the same SMS, and it still works great.

Yeah, that one is really fun. It looks almost identical to the C64 one. I played a lot of R-Type on my SMS along with the Alex Kidd games. (eventually got Golden Axe and Altered Beast for it later in its life)

I'll likely be wrapping up Ghostbusters with my daughters this weekend, playing a touch more Borederlands 2, and I just got going on Shovel Knight. Otherwise I will be outside, with a touch of the drink most likely. :D

I just got into the EQ Landmark beta for 7 days, so I guess I'll pay playing that. It gets the worst FPS on my computer. Like lowest settings are high 30s - low 40s. I put it on ultra anyways so I'm getting a solid 20 fps. Pretty smooth all things considered. Perhaps it's inaccurate.

Still my all time favorite video game! I can't wait for the Revision mod. Just hope it doesn't take as long as the Nameless Mod. :p

I know i've seen that name somwhere, now I remember, TNM forums lol.

yea, deus ex MULTIPLAYER is my most favorite game ever. i've been trying to mod for it, but the tools are just horrendous and make me quit everytime

Sounds like it's the worst optimized piece of crap I've ever heard of, especially with your rig.

Hopefully it gets better as the versions of the game are flushed out.

Best Buy was running a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE starting today on select 3DS games. Woke up and every single location within a 50 mile radius of me was sold out of the games worth getting. Online was already bone dry, they sold out within like 2 hours.

I recalled that Walmart often times will price match Best Buy ad's. But only with the physical ad. We don't get the paper so my wife volunteered to drive to a local BB to get the ad then go to WM. First WM denied they would match the offer, same with the second WM. However after a few minutes of bickering I guess she got her way and she sent me this photo of my son holding the treasure!

So this is what I'll be playing this weekend and all this week since we're heading on a family vacation all week. :D

Same here, all the good games are sold out of the ~10 Best Buys in a 50 mile radius. :p Would have been nice if this was later though. I am looking forward to the remakes of Sapphire/Ruby and Super Smash.

Now that ME3 is finished, going backwards in the series to ME2.
MOAR!
You should really be playing them in order, though. It's really satisfying taking the same Shepard through the whole story. Plus, you start at level 30 in ME3 and I think level 10 in ME2 if you import a Shepard from the previous game.

Going to play Dead Space 3 this weekend, maybe try Murdered: Soul Suspect or get back into some Battlefield 4. No real point in playing anymore Diablo 3 until 2.1 comes out...

I've been playing Doom 3, Quake IV, Shovel Knight, Brothers, and Borderlands 2. We beat Brothers yesterday. I'm about to finish Shovel Knight as well. Looks like it's an id sorta weekend.

I am going to attempt to finish Saints Row IV. I also want to fire up Crysis again for a playthrough.

Two week vacation in 3 days =)

Think I'm going to hit the steam games I bought on the summer sale

Going to play Dishonored

Borderlands Headhunter packs got em all now =)

Batman Arkham City

started playing wildstar, having a good time with it, except for performance issues. ill be playing that this weekend

Borderlands 2. Did not have much time and started playing during the free weekend, so I decided to try and complete a shorter game. I chose Bioshock. Won't get time to finish that either. :(

As a general rule I only play new, story based games when I can sit down and finish them in 1-2 days (or three if it takes that long). Otherwise I forgot plot details and control layouts.

going to try Defiance along with the other games mentioned above just heard a lot about Defiance it's free to play since mid june Trion game so it should be ok.

I didn't get to finish Saints Row IV but will at least be 75% done on the weekend. A friend of mine had given me a copy of Defiance before it was free to play. I may install it and give it a shot.

Finishing up Grandia 2 on the Dreamcast. Had this game for years but never finished it. Picked it up from an old save. I had to relearn all the ins and outs of combat, power ups, mana, magic, special moves. JRPGs tend to be long with repetitive gameplay. And the story is crazy, like convoluted. But I am enjoying it, playing a couple or 3 hours in the evenings.

Loved Grandia 2, beat it at least 3 times. I have it for the PC though.

You know, I have arrived at the final boss or bosses and decided to take a break from those long battles and start up a new game. Wow! this really is a great JRPG. I could hardly put it down last night to comply with bed time, lol. Also knowing the mechanics of combat and understanding the complexities of leveling up, powering up, special moves, magic, etc, makes the game much more enjoyable. Even the story makes more sense starting from the beginning. Playing via the Dreamcast with s video inputs on a CRT HDTV, the game is looking great too. All 3D environments, lots of detail, attractive art style. Retro gaming at its finest haha!
