What are you nerds playing this weekend?

Continuing with Giants Citizen Kabuto...

Might have to pull my discs out. I haven't touched a disc-based game in quite a while, but I still have a nice box of them, and this is one of them. My brother and I would load up a big multiplayer map, and just do stupid things with the gyro-copters. :D

I've never played the Multiplayer. Would love to try it.:p My disks were badly scratched so I found it on GOG for $9.99. I played it years ago, got all the way up to being Kabuto and computer crashed. I just want to get back to that point and finally play as him.:D

It's Sat morning. I may fire up some Borderlands 2, never did finish that. Also maybe some ESO followed by some BF4, already finished watch_dogs and its gotten kind of stale already, for me anyways. BTW does anyone have a 7 day trial for Wildstar? I would really like to check that out, so would my step son. Thanks. Stay [H]

Still playing Tomb Raider on my Xbox One, that game just keeps going and going. (Oh, and I keep dying and dying. =) :D

Our favorite thing was to troll the Kabuto by placing towers extremely high in the air and then put turrets on the edge of them shooting down. Basically the Kabuto could get hit almost anywhere on the map and it was extremely hard for him to destroy the turrets.

Such a great game...if there was a Kickstarter for an HD remake I would be all over it in a heartbeat.

Mario Kart 8!!! Set up the projector outside last night and played with some friends on a 9 foot wide screen lol.

Mass Effect 3. Yup, I'm still hopelessly behind in the gaming world, but damn, this is good.

I picked that up "in the bin" for like 7.99 and couldn't get into it. I think it was laggy on the pS3 or something and I got bored.

I romped through Transistor (PC) this weekend. A cool game. Then finished Walking Dead Part 3.

After I finish some work, I will get into Child of Light.

Was that the first Mass Effect? ME1 has a terrible slow start but starts to pick up after the Citadel. Controls are greatly improved across the series. The leap from ME1 to ME2 is huge!.

Post some thoughts on Child of Light if you would. I have some Wii U credit burning a hole in my virtual wallet, and it looks pretty cool!

Yeah, I barely made it through ME1, actually. I found it to be really tedious for the most part. ME2 and ME3 were far better in pretty much all ways.

That's odd, I actually found ME1 better than both. Though I did enjoy ME2 a lot. I'm one of the three people that actually liked the Mako sequences. It kind of reminded me of playing Star Control 2, where you had to land on the planet with a small shuttle, collect resources, and shoot things. It pulled me in a lot more than just the planet scanning mini-game. I'm only a little bit into ME3 though, so my judgement on that one is a bit up in the air. I stopped playing after an hour or two in favor of other games, but do plan to get back to it since I'm a fan of the series.

I'm another one of the three who liked the Mako sequences. One of the most memorable moments for me was landing on the moon of the planet in the blue giant system. Looking above the horizon you can see the gas giant it's orbiting as a relatively small circle. Turn around and you see the blue giant taking up nearly the entire horizon. Imagining that scale as the moon orbits around 1 million km away from the planet while the sun is 800 AU away from the planet just blew my mind.

Nice! There were definitely some beautiful sights on those missions. I also remember seeing some cool ruins and things like that, that really had nothing to do with the plot at all. They're there, and you don't know why. You start wondering who made them, etc.

Also, trying to get through a hostile environment grabbing resources before being destroyed could occasionally be fun. Or trying to drive up things that you really weren't supposed to. :D

Trine 2 free for the PS4 via PSPlus for June! Gonna DL this and play it in 3D till my eyes bleed!!!!

Will do. So far kinda hard to get into because I am playing in short after lunch spurts at work.

Golf. And if I can get my new (to me) mini ITX system built up I'll dabble in a bit of Bioshock and Trine 2... again.

This weekend will consist of Mario Kart 8 and Ultra Street Fighter 4 for me. Maybe a little Dark Souls 2 if I get bored of playing against other people.

hmm Im thinking Van Helsing II, State of Decay and maybe Dark Souls I.

Picked up a Logitech G27 on sale yesterday, so I'm going to say probably a whole bunch of Assetto Corsa. Likely some Diablo 3 intermixed in.

More W*. Taking it slow, I don't want to blow through the game like I used to in other MMOs.

Where did you get it and how much? I got one awhile back for $150 from logitech.com but gave it to a friend for iracing. Id love to have one again.

Thinking of playing the mod Long War for X-COM. Probably some Madden 25, and some LoL.

Playing some Star Citizen Arena Commander and probably some DayZ

Memory Express in Calgary (although they have stores across western Canada), it was on their daily deal - $199, (normally $299), version with pedals and H shifter.

Was going to post in the deals section, but stock was low :)

I'll be squeezing in a bit of MK8 again this weekend between finishing up a couple of circuit designs and building a few PCBs for someone. If I have any real sort of break, I'll get into something a little heavier. :D

I've been playing the new Wolfenstein for a few days.
I'm not big on Nazis or anything that includes them, but that aside, this game is excellent.
Best spent money on a game for quite some time, very polished, very involving.

Will look at Van Helsing II when I've finished, the first one was great.

I decided to play Diablo III the other night after a break, and an Odyn Son with decent rolls dropped for my Barbarian (crits went from 2m to 11m :D). So I'm going to try and see if I can get a Thunderfury to go with it this weekend .

Finally trying The Witcher 2 again. Bought it after I got done with Skyrim (the first time) a while back and needed something else to entertain me, but just couldn't get going. We'll see what happens this time.

Seeing Freespace 2 on sale almost got me as well. Replayed that and Tie Fighter countless times back in the late 90's/early 00s, shame there isn't anything like it anymore. I'd rebuy both of them instantly if they just had graphics updated enough to not hurt my eyes. I remember being awed by the visuals in Freespace 2 at the time.

Well, this weekend is Fasher's day. As anyone with kids knows this means they will ask you what you want to do on Sunday, and you know if you tell them that you just want to relax and play some games they will hate you and say "no way" anyway.

But when everything does settle down I want to check out Planetside 2.
