Windows 8.1 hand grabbing icon gone

I don't know what I did... but when used to close windows that were open in Win 8 a hand would appear and I would drag it to a close... now when I put the cursor to the top of the screen a drop down bar appears instead and shows the - and x in the corner for closing or minimizing... How do I get it back to the hand thing??

yeah .... you can still drag down the black bar.... i had gotten used to not having X to close or visual clue to close by dragging down ... oh well...

LoL, I didn't realize we can still close it. I miss the hand grabbing icon.

The behavior is actually a bit more consistent with a desktop window. You've always been able to drag a desktop window with the title bar and there is no visual cue for that.
