Here's an easy way to double your SSD capacity using only a hole punch. This modification probably only works today though, so you'd better hurry and start punching holes in your stuff.

Some still remember the 5.25-inch floppy disks, where you could also double the capacity with a simple hole and a similar procedure is now possible with SSDs and maybe even with USB sticks soon. How it works with SSDs, is explained in this step by step tutorial.

Thanks for reminding me this is the day to stay of the internet entirely and not give page hits to any of this nonsense...

I've already tried it and it helped me to gain another 3" on my flaccid penis size. IT WORKS!!!

Thanks Steve, it works. All the more space for my porn folder:cool:

I punched the wrong side and now I only have half the capacity. Would it help to glue the piece back?

So wait, if I do the same hole-punch on the opposite side, will I then QUADRUPLE my capacity?!

My only concern is with all these new holes, my data might fall out, which would really cause a mess inside my case. Particularly those pr0n files.

I used to use a hole punch to make the other side of the old 5 1/4" floppies work, turning it into a double sided disk. Back in the day. Way back, when dinosaurs roamed.

What kind of increase can I get if I put a bullet through my SSD? Extra cooling?

I used my .45-caliber 1911 to punch the holes and tripled the capacity of all my SSDs. WOOHOO!!!!!! :D

I thought the only way was to use Double Stack compression so Johnny Nemonic can store all those Megabytes....

Won't punching a whole make the weight of the ssd more one sided. And data will go to just one side of the SSD?

I tried this and noticed that my SSD stayed cool better, weighed less, and it certainly looks more tactical.

it makes sense. Once you let out the space-hogging magic smoke, there will be more room for data.

This is a rip. All you need to do is buy one double sided SSD. Line two SSDs up (obviously the double sided one goes on top!) and use a drill to drill right through the other one.

You don't need no fancy machine to do this!

Now I'm worried about haxxors getting in the new gateway hole I've just created in my SSD. I'll be on the lookout for megahurtz thievez.

I just upgraded my SSD to ios 7 and not only did it double the capacity, it is also now waterproof.

I put a rope through the hole so I could wear my SSD as a necklace. Looks great.

I used to have a proper disk-notching tool that made square holes. I need to find it, as I believe this is the only way that this should be done.

I've analyzed the effect.

Since the snapping action of the Disk Notcher is similar to the velocity of the .45ACP, I calculated that the best capacity boost will come from a .50BMG projectile; unless someone has access to a railgun, that is.

Anyone know the guy's with the .50 cal? We should get them involved.

:D

I fumbled the SSD chad into my optical drive causing it to become self aware.
