Just gave up on Assassins Creed 4. Got too boring boarding ships and running around and all that, that got old fast.

Any other cool games to play?

I'm in the same boat.
Getting a bit bored of bf4.

I'm considering picking up titanfall but i just feel like I'm spending $60 on a game that is only worth $20.

Xnik, stop bitching about $60, spend it and enjoy the shit out of titanfall if you play FPS.

The game is non-stop fun.

GET TITANFALL!

GET TITANFALL!

Calm your tits..
It's not the money that is the problem.
Its the principle.

If people are willing to dish out $60 for a game, that is only multiplayer, and has less features than other games in its genre, such as cod and bf4, then this will become acceptable.

As great as the game may be, it is definitively not worth $60.
Whether $60 is a lot of money or not, is not the point.

If Titanfall is like some of the Mechwarrior games then I might like it. I remember the old Mechwarrior 4 games, they were cool.

What games have you already played?

Assassins Creed 4
BF3
Tomb Raider 2013
Bioshock Infinite
Crysis 3
Skyrim
Borderlands 2
Metro Last Light
ME3
Diablo 3

Looking for something refreshing and different.

Im sorry but i don't see your logic here i rather have multiplayer only done right.

I spend $60 on so many single player games that i played only 1-3hrs on them and i have only multiplayer games that i like and have 300-500 hrs on each of them.

So you tell me which has more value for your money?
Keep sticking to your principle and keep missing awesome past and upcoming games...

Well check out Killing Floor, it's cheap and will provide a good level of replay value while you level up. I'd avoid the servers/maps that allow you to level up quickly and easy. IMHO, it ruins the fun of doing it the way the developers intended.

Serious Sam; pretty much all of them. If you haven't played the older versions they remade them in HD. Serious Sam: First Encounter HD is the first one, then Serious Sam: Second Encounter HD is the second one and the latest and targeted more modern is Serious Sam 3: Before First Encounter (It's a prequel to The First Encounter). Really fun games with a decently long single player that you can co-op with friends.

I would as well, i really don't care for single player anymore.
but if you're going to make a multiplayer only game and charge it as a AAA title then it really should blow the competition out of the water.

From what i hear, the game play itself is great in titanfall.
i wish bf3 and 4 were mutliplayer only so dice can focus more on the multiplayer.
but there is only like 10 weapons, barely any attachments, and 3 titans?
this could be for balancing reasons but then we should have some sort of customization.
paint jobs to make your titan stand out from the rest.

this game has less content than bf4 and cod, which have single player campaigns.
and to add insult to injury, respawn said there would be no paid content. then go back on their word an announce a season pass.

i know these are little things that shouldn't be a factor, but honestly paint jobs for guns has almost become a standard for fps.

there just seems like there is much more they could of done with this game especially since its focus is multiplayer.

I'm not trying to knock the game, I'm sure its great. i just don't believe it is worth $60.
believe me, i have been really wanting to buy the game. but i feel as if i should wait for the price to drop and the sli/surround problems to be fixed before i do.
If payday 2 was $60, i doubt many would of bought it.

The Arkham series is on sale right now on Steam. If you haven't played those then you're in for a good time. I'd probably start with Arkham City but a lot of people like Asylum. Asylum felt too console for my taste.

Farcry 3? I just gave this a try and its worth the 6$ I payed.Quite a bit of fun

There are no games anymore. Don't you see? We've reached the end of the line... it's over.

If you really mean refreshing and different then I would suggest Banished. It has quite a bit of depth for a simple game and can be challenging at times.

I'm definitely enjoying it and you can spend a lot of time playing, waiting, hoping for trade merchant to bring you something good before all of your people starve, freeze, or die from old age.

Curious question, why don't you just do the missions in AC IV instead of taking ships and all that? Or are you tired of the story as well?

8 of those 10 games you listed were FPS or at least first person action games. Why not try something different?

Give a racing game a shot like Trackmania, or something more serious like Shift 2 or Grid 2. Age of Empires 2 HD is a real blast as well.

I haven't played Titanfall so I can't comment on my opinion of its value... but to play devil's advocate, Unreal Tournament cost $50, had 10 weapons, no attachments, and no vehicles of any kind. People seemed okay with its value at the time. :)

Ok, thanks for recommendations. Haven't decided yet but I need something different. When you're as old as me and played as many games as I have, everything seems the same :D

If you want something REALLY different, try Dragon Pass. I was really blown away at how unique it is. Yes, it is a 1999 game with only artwork as its graphics, but it is quite interesting. I have not finished a game yet though - i'm a perfectionist and constantly restart those type of games when I learn how to do something better.

Just Cause 2 was probably the most fun I had for like $5. I probably put 60 hours into that game.

Since you've done Far Cry 3..I'm going to say The Walking Dead game..and Max Payne 3
..and Hitman..Absolution?

Already finished Max Payne 3 and Hitman Absolution. Love the Hitman games BTW.

I've heard of the Walking Dead games. I'm not into games where you end up watching a ton of cut scenes.

If you don't believe the game is worth $60 then don't buy it but you also shouldn't act like your opinion is fact - plenty of other people seem to think the game is worth that much.

why do people on this forum take it to heart whenever someone has a negative opinion about a game they like.
i didnt say my opinion was fact, i was simply giving my opinion.
if other people think it is worth it, that's great.

all i said, at first, was

it was directed towards the op as a suggestion to look into, and i get attacked for it.

Don't take one persons opinion as indicative of everyones here at [H]. Even Nazi's had differing opinions :D. Titanfall is worth if you will sink a huge amount of time into it. Myself? Not gonna happen so I will wait for price drop but it does look fun.. not going to lie. As to OP's dilemma, I recommend playing some of PC gamings classics. Anytime I get tired of current games I go back to play some greats and they never fail to satisfy. As long as you have the capacity to look past technological shortcomings the actual gameplay, mechanics, and story exceed even "next gen" games in many areas.

Currently playing Thief gold (with mod packs), Planescape:Torment, and Sanitarium. Holy shit the atmosphere in these games is untouched.

LOL that's the reason I have not bought it yet. It honestly looks last gen and not worth the asking price.
