Is it possible to mix the cards in one system?

What I have is 2x Nvidia 750Ti and 1x ATI 270, currently they are in 2 different systems. Could I put all of them on one system and use SMOS or BAMT or even windows?

Also are any of you using a 4u case to hold your mining rigs? My other idea is to get 2 more 270's and toss them in a norco RPC-470 and put it in my rack (room is kept at ~65-68deg).

1. Yes its possible, use the -d flag to ignore the Nvidia cards in CGMiner and use CUDAMiner for the Nvidia cards.

2. I've done it in Windows, not Linux, so dunno about that.

3. No, most of my rigs are open air, kinda hard to keep 3-5 cards cool inside a case of any kind but it should work fine if you can cool them.

Thanks for the reply. I will play with the setup this weekend.

The RPC-470 has a fan wall of 4x80MM fans plus two more on the back for exhaust. I would have the fans on full tilt. The case would be bringing a constant supply of ~68deg air.

My window fan currently brings 7 degree outside air directly on the cards. My 280x's run at 73c w/ 40% fan and my 7950 is at 79c with 50% fan.

My case is open air and the cards are a good 3-4 inches apart. The moment I try and move the cards closer to one another..... Temps and fans go well into the 90's

I know I have different cards then you.... But I'm only trying to provide real world xp. I personally think you will have cooling issues.

Good to know. I may just have to try 2 cards in a box and watch a the temps.

I have a 270 in a HP ML160 tower sitting on a shelf in the rack running at ~73c in my dataroom in my office which is at 68f 24/7
