Click link (3rd item), linka 3ds xl and 1 game (specific title) and you can get a free copy of either Pokemon X or Y.

Not bad considering a few of the games on the list can be had for $20.

I still haven't redeemed my pin for my 3ds xl, so I will pick up mario kart 7 for my son to play and I can than get the free game for me.
 
Ugh, this is kinda bullshit. Bought a 3DSXL at Xmas and registered it, as well as the games, so now I guess I'm ineligible because I was a couple months too early. :rolleyes:

Call Nintendo Club support, they have already rolled some other peoples registrations into the right time. ask them. Nintendo seems to be really nice to customers for sure, including me having a pre-owned wiiu that had some problems and was no longer under warranty, but they replaced the unit and put a 1 year warranty on it ;)

I am sure there is a reason why they are doing it with that limited window and not around Xmas when the Nintendo eShop was down because of so many people on it. But I may hit them up anyway...thanks for the advice.

Definitely post back if you have success with this. I bought a 3DS XL Zelda bundle for Christmas and already registered it too. :mad:

I have been planning on getting Pokemon at some point, so this would be sweet. I just don't have time to play it at the moment.

Limited Time Offer - March 1, 2014 to March 31, 2014. Products registered prior to this date do not qualify for this promotion.
 
I picked this game up over the weekend and am having a blast! Can't believe how fun pokemon is. I always brushed it off as child-ish but damn, it's a great game.

That's good to find out. I always thought the movies, cartoon, cards were childish too. But Nintendo makes really good games, so I was curious about X/Y on the 3DS.
 
Anyone get a spare code, apparently, in my quick fever rush to get this going, actually didn't even read the full details and registered 1 day before (Feb-28) and was already told that they wouldn't carry the date over =[
 
I had my girlfriend register her 3DS in March, buy the game and wait. Unfortunately because the PIN was registered by myself back at Christmas, they aren't giving her the Pokemon game. This is such BS. I complained back at the start of the month, my complaint form hasn't been replied to at all in over 2 weeks. I sent another one to see if Nintendo would do the right thing.

I registered my son's 2DS on Christmas day and when I logged into his Club account 3 days ago there was a code for free Pokemon. :cool:

Same, my son is too young for text heavy games like Pokemon so I redeemed it on my 3DSXL. Game is legit fun, and I'm looking forward to burning a lot of hours on it. However, I"m currently about 10hours in on Fire Emblem Awakening and nothing stops this train! lol
 
Since when does doing the right thing include companies giving you free software? Promotions like this exist and start at a set date, theres nothing arbitrary about it. I dont understand the thought process of I bought this outside of your promotion window, but i still bought it so gimmie!!!
 
Her Club Nintendo account, game purchase, serial register went in under the right date. It's because it wasn't the PIN registered, rather the system serial used for her club nintendo account which the technicality was indicated in fine print section rather than the first page details which simply said register a ds on a new club nintendo account on this day + game purchase to get a game free.

From the website:

Register a portable Nintendo 2DS, 3DS, or 3DS XL system
and a qualifying game between March 1st to March 31st
and get a FREE Pokémon X or Pokémon Y download code.

From the FAQ:

Do I qualify if I registered the system or game before 3/1/14?

You are not eligible if you registered either product prior to 3/1/14. You must go through the registration process during this offer's time restriction.
(The 3DS was registered under her account within the date range)

So she didn't know the PIN and serial are 2 different items and the serial was accepted on Club Nintendo without question of "this system has already been registered" etc.

Huh...I registered the day after Xmas and there's nothing as far as I can tell on my account.
 
If anyone has one of the select game codes, unused, I think I have an extra 3dsxl code that I'd swap for it :D
