How do you "convert Amazon key to Steam key"? It just gives me the option to download a .exe file.

EDIT: Never mind, found the key in my Games Library.

ah this was happening yesterday, amazon programming screwed up and they took it offline to fix it

you may have to try to get another key, that one may never activate
 
I still have my original copy of this - wonder if there's any point in doing this. I suppose I might as well.
 
I'm positive this version will be better than the bullshit version about to come out.
 
I was about to get it until I went and watched some YouTube videos of gameplay.
 
Just as a heads up, I put in the code for one, and they had a "technical glitch" and ended up charging my card. They're looking into fixing it, but gave me a $7 credit for my next order. So they basically paid me to take the game, assuming they fix the order.
 
is this still working for others?

I get the error message "Code is not valid" when I try to use the code as a promo during normal checkout.

When I try the instant video method I get this message :
"There's something wrong with the claim code you entered. Please try again."
 
Yeah they had this screw up yesterday, apparently it is not fixed yet, though it worked for me (and apparently other people).

You can try another email later (any email) to get another code to see if it work.
 
The funny thing about this is that I bought Thief complete collection back in Oct-Nov last year and planned on playing it through before the new one came out.

I haven't even installed it yet.

Oh well. I got this so I could use steam instead. :)
 
I saw this on SD last night and it went "OOS". I applied the code that someone had suggested back then and now that it's apparently back in stock, apply it.

BTW, the $7 MSRP for a game that's 16 y/o is a rip-off.

Probably has to do with tax write-offs. Million downloads @ $7 value = $7M writeoff? Dunno.

I'm not a gamer but for 16 years I would expect the new version to blow people's minds with that kind of development time.

I remember when it was released :/

Brought my system to it's knees.

I think I was rocking a K6-233, 128MB EDO, 5GB HDD, Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 and Diamond Monster Card.

Man was that K6-233 a POS. Not even a K6-2!

Keep in mind, there was a Thief 2 and Thief: Deadly Shadows before this newer game... ;)
 
I went through all the steps only to find out I already own it. :D Thanks though!
 
The game is too old. Not interested. My backlog is large enough with nicer, more recent games ...
