Any interest in PicoPSU based Mini-ITX case?

Hi, this project is awesome. Always wanted something clean & neat like this.

Here's a quick photo of the L1 (2013) with an acrylic side panel. I have a few of these acrylic side panels if any existing L1 owners would like one. The holes aren't countersunk.

Also, not available quite yet, but here's the slightly revised L1:

No, this is essentially the same as the original L1, with a few tweaks.

IMO, you are shooting your self in the foot, so to speak, by not supporting dual slot video cards. There are few decent single slot video cards available these days.

I would like to see a two-slot version too, but for now there isn't much to take advantage of it. The 7750 is still about as good as you can get in low-profile. I guess there are some two-slot 650s, but those are in the same range as the 7750.

Hopefully the 750 will change that, but we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah but you are still stuck to manufacturers' heatsinks etc. It would be nice to have the option to passively cool, or add a larger fan below the video card, or..... The point is, you increase your market by giving people options. Just MHO. FWIW, I have an L1 from loneindustries and think it is a really nice case. I'd just really like to see a dual slot version.

XFX makes a low profile dual slot R7 250. Couple that with an A10-7850K and you have a pretty powerful system for its size.

I think it would be helpful to notate the new version of the L1 as the L1 (2014). Having L1 and L1 (2013) makes it sound like the 2013 version is newer.

I agree. I'm sorry the 2014 L1 wasn't what you were hoping for. I've been so busy with my full-time job, that this is all I could pull off at this point. Just so you're aware, if I do come out with something else that fits an oversize heatsink, it will have a different name. :)

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't add 2014 to the name, but did make it more clear that the L1 2013 is clearance priced. I only have one L1 2013 left, so I hope it's not on my site for too long.

I will also join the choir chanting for double slots.
I've found a few odd and ugly double slot itx cases but nothing worth buying.

As mentioned an A10-7850k dual graphics with a R7 250 (or even 250X) would require double slots.

I would also like to see a 140mm fan on top of the mobo.

The existing cases are really nice though you should keep the style.

It looks like that might fit in already. It would probably prevent you from installing a drive with the standard bracket, but with so much space in the front you might be able to find another way to squeeze at least one drive in.

Lone had something drawn up awhile ago for the X51, this looks to be a similar profile if he wanted to move forward with a bracket. You'd have to get creative with the drives but that's not a huge issue.

Might be more do-able in a larger version of the L1. If I simply enlarge (scale up) the L1 to add dual slots then the dimensions would be 240x101x240 mm (LxWxH). Or I could leave the length at 220 mm which would give 220x101x240 mm.

Without the room at the front, you could attach at least one 2.5" drive onto the side panel, over the motherboard.

@Alted4 - That'd be perfect.

@Everyone - Those who are serious about wanting to buy a dual slot version of the L1, please post so I can get a count. As mentioned, it would be slightly larger than the L1. Also, post whether you'd be willing to pay $150-160 for one? It wouldn't take me long to produce a slightly scaled up L1 with dual slots.

(I'm maintaining a list offline)

I'd be in for a black one. Day one purchase.

If you can do $150 or less it'd be great, but I understand your costs regardless.

I may be interested in one, but it really depends what I can find for a GPU that will fit in 2 slots and in the 101mm width dimension. I'm not an avid gamer but I wouldn't mind a decent GPU.

Would this larger version have full or half height PCIe slots? If full, put me down for one.

Don't add me to the list at the moment. I'm definitely interested but will be moving later in the year so am currently looking to get rid of stuff instead of adding it.

I'm definitely in for one at that price. I really like the white, but I'd take black too.

I'm in as long as you can ship one to sweden.

Dual slot in my mind is only so I can get a passivly cooled card.

This is more along the lines of what I've been hoping for... power consumption to come down!

That would negate the need for a dual slot version of the L1 though. ;)

Depends on what size cooler the manufacturers use ;). I'd rather use a large passive cooler than a single slot with a small, loud fan.

Put me down as a maybe. I already have the single slot version and love it. My computer case buying is becoming a problem haha.
