What the fuck? Replace the oil filter but don't replace the oil? What sorta hacks work at that shop?

I wonder if it can simulate screw ups so we can relive those moments when you put back on the wrong size lug nuts on somebodies' else car???
I saw this a while back and thought to myself... Why in the world would anybody that actually works on vehicles, or anybody for that matter, want to play this game?
And the oil filter is $50. I kinda like how magically nothing leaks when removing filters, either.
To large, and unless you are totally wasted, you will notice within 1-2 seconds.
I had a roommate who used to play train simulator all the time. Used to give him shit for it all the time. Until one day while I was raging about getting pwned and camped I looked over at him and saw him gleefully running his train.Every time I see a simulator game like this I think it's a joke and then realize that people actually play them...
Some of the work orders are oddly worded in this "game".
One task read "replace the timing".
Turned out it was missing the word "belt".
the game is actually a pretty good idea... i know nothing beats real life hands on experience, but it's better than reading textbooks and diagrams about the trade
i think of it as an interactive textbook.. this is education of the future folks
I assume they have a plumber and janitor simulator now too? Toss kitty litter, mop up vomit.
you are fucking kidding me right?
next up; tax accountant simulator 4
Isn't that just Eve Online?
I actually do see some use for this rather than playing Farming Simulator or whatever. I mean, if they have my shitbox I call my 99 Toyota Camry and it guided me how to take apart the axles for example, then I'd be doing that first before doing the actual fuckery.
If it were a timing chain this game might actually be on to something.
It'd be cool to have to line up timing marks, use camshaft holding tools, counting and marking cam gear teeth. Off by one tooth? OOPS! New engine for you!
The demo is kind of kid stuff but wouldn't it be cool if there was a real sim that had a database of all cars and all actual assembly/disassembly.
